The SoakerTag idea of having a specific body target that needs to be blasted to count as a elimination is a good compromise between the semi-subjective One-Hit-Eliminates games where different people sometimes argue over how much water must contact to count as a hit versus total, uncontrolled soakfests when it becomes hard to determine who won when everyone seems soaked. However, the SoakerTag devices, themselves, could use some improvement. First and foremost, the SoakerTags are not reusable. This makes it most costly to hold a SoakerTag game and makes people less likely to use them. As well, when SoakerTags are blasted, they get rather sticky and goopy. I've heard of many people complaining about the gooey residue left on their clothing and shoes after using SoakerTags.
Thus, there must be better devices that can be used. I plan to push up some device concepts and prototype images of Soak Indicators in this thread. I'd also like to see if others have good ideas or find out what sort of alternatives members are using.

Maybe some sort of washable dye could be found for really big soak feasts? Someone dyes a load of old rags with washable dye, and when the rags go back to their normal colour you know they have been soaked. Also different colour dyes could be used for different teams for better team co-ordination.

I use pieces of plain paper about 5cm by 5cm. You can stick then on with bluetack or sellotape. It's a cheap easy way. If u wanted 2 u could do it on the computer and fill them with ink, but that's expensive. Or u could soak them in ketchup or ink! ???

Just found these really cool, bodyarmour type indicators on ebay. If u hit the right spot, it fills a tube and u can see how much you have hit your opponent. I will post the links seperately.

There is an edit button you can use instead of posting five times in a row.

I did like, ten posts in a row on the SM submussions forum once...
