Re: Official League Team Ruleset Planning
This is the biggest challenge of any project; keeping people interested, willing, and able to contribute. While I understand the usefulness of Google Docs for editing (we use it a lot at work), it is also possible some don't have Google accounts they want to use for this. As well, it is often easier to hack at/edit things that are a little more developed. While getting input at the start is always valuable, many may not be sure quite where to begin or where they could best contribute.CA99 wrote:Suddenly, everyone disappears. Was it something I said?

Re: Official League Team Ruleset Planning
I thought I already gave some suggestions. Either way, CA99's outline looks pretty good; though until he actually starts writing stuff in each section, I likely won't find anything that needs improvement in my eyes.

Got it. I'll update this today and get back here once I get more in. I just wanted some feedback on the outline and structure of the doc.
Re: Official League Team Ruleset Planning
I do suppose I over-complicated things with the Google Doc; may not be the right way to start things off here.
That said, after the 2013 Season Opener, I think we've definitively established three games:
- Standard OHS
- Air Pressure-Only OHS
- BBT-WW-Only OHS
And I've gotten the following from my first attendance at a community war:
- No hits/soakage from mother nature ever count, period.
- All reasonably clean natural water is always acceptable or expected to be used.
- Nobody wants to play OHK elimination due to the very short rounds.
- The high ground sucks, and we need ways to avoid teams camping on hills, or we need good counter-strategies against said hills. (i.e. more WBL's lol.)
- Never enter private property without permission for any reason.
I think we can go from here to develop the rules further; go with what we do at community wars and with the norms we've established.
