its a CPS 1200

with a metal reinforced pump shaft

and a new nozzle 5X i think...

look at the stream!

also you can fill water balloons with it.

and it shoots 53 feet

That looks nice. The ranges seem to be pretty decent as well. is the nozzle size any different than the original? If not, this may be some definitive practical evidence supporting laminar flow.

I don't find that range overly impressive my, STOCK! CPS 1200 gets 50 feet with ease, but it's in the shop. The pump end-cap snapped off and it needs a "rubber band mod"

That's the furthest I've seen someone quote the range on a CPS 1200. ~43' (± 2') seems to be the general consensus. The CPS 2000 is ~50' range. To be fair, an increase, even in just a few feet, with just a change of nozzle is still pretty impressive (well I think it is anyway

).

He guessed at 5x, and the original nozzle was 5x (nearly) so it probably has a lot down to the flow (unless he k-modded it and didn't tell us

).

I don't see any way that a CPS 1200 could get over 50 feet. DX's 12K gets slightly over 45, so I seriously doubt a stock 1200 could get 50. TheSoaker, has your blaster been K-modded? And have you measured the ranges with a tape measure? Or were you just guessing? Because I'd like to see proof before I'll believe that (that goes for CPS1200fann too.) a 1200 can hit 50 with nothing but a nozzle mod.

Ah, that explains it. I could only get like, 10 balloons on mine before the pump started to struggle, haha. Maybe mine's a dud.

I seriously doubt that a CPS 1200 can hit 53ft with 21 balloons and an improved nozzle, or that a 1200 can hit 50ft stock. From what I've seen, they get mid 30s to low 40s stock and low to mid 40s lightly K-modded. An optimized nozzle could add as much as 5ft of range, but you only see big gains when the stream needed a lot of improvement in the first place, ie heavy K-mods. The closer to stock it is, the less improvement you'll get. The MK1 optimizes around 30-35 balloons, MK2 far less. Any more and the PRV starts to open too early. I'd imagine that you can only break 50ft with a moderate or heavy K-mod, PRV disabled.
I am also talking about effective range, to the last puddle. My 12K might get 47 to the last drop, but the last drop doesn't mean anything since you won't be hitting anyone with it. Even if you do, that's not enough to count for a hit. And then of course there are a whole bunch of factors that can change ranges when testing - wind speed, height of firing, angle of firing, humidity, temperature, levelness of the ground, etc.
The 12K has a shot at about 48ft effective with that better nozzle. The stock 1200, well I'll believe that when I see it. I don't even buy 45ft last drop for that, let alone 50 effective. Prove me wrong with a video.

Your stream looks like it has great lamination. Take a video. I love the 1200, never seen one shoot further than around 43 ft stock though. Anywhere from 37 to 43 seems about average. I range tested at least 4 for hydrowar.

I wish I could prove you wrong, but the pump and trigger are broken (see CPS 1200 help please) I always pumped mine to safety valve limits 23-25 pumps and got 50' end of puddle (never looked for a last drop).

Interesting. My 2100 gets about 43-47 effective range with its' light K-Mod. I'm sure it could hit 50 feet with last drop if the wind was just right, but like DX, that won't be hitting anything. I also agree with M4, I'd like to that stream in video.
I don't have a 1200, but the 2100 is about as close to the 1200 as you'll get with a totally different blaster. They even almost have the same number!

Actually, the 2100 is slightly smaller and slightly weaker, as shown by DX's 1021. The 1000 is the closest to the 1200. The 1200 is like the younger brother that never quite grew up.
Convenient "breakage" 1200fann

. Maybe just an annomaly that caused it to break.

Haha, I think I should better build up a CPS 1200 that archieves 65 feet

May end any discussions

DX had a 21K with like 95 balloons that shot 60-65 feet I believe. Trouble is, putting that many balloons on puts a lot of stress on the internals. I don't know what the highest recorded range for a 1200 is, but 50 feet stock is way too unbelievable.

Ahahaha^^ Yea DX is great

95 balloons^^ wooow...what a work this must be to put all these on... Remaining PC volume is not that big anymore I can imagine ? 400 ml ? or less ? Towards pressure, the internals should stay even more from what I know

He could get twelve pumps in before the PC hit the wall.
Off Topic: What information do we know about mks vs. pump handles? Mine is flat at the end, yours seems to be rounded.

That doesn't look like a 1200 pump to me. Perhaps it's off a 1000.
