Modded Painball Gun=Super Soaker?
I was talking with one of my friends and he was wondering if it was possible to mod a CO2-powered paintball gun to shoot water like a super soaker. I have no knowledge whatsoever of paintball guns and couldn't help him out, so I was wondering if someone who was more paintball/modding savvy knew if it would work or not.
n00b friend: "Nice SP 270!"
Me: "Uhh, it's XP."

I play quite alot of paintball.
Modded into a super soaker?
No way.
For a paintball to be successfully shot, the paintball has to be hit by a bolt. This is usally a piece of metal that strikes the ball so it can start its movement.
After that once the paintball, in the gun, has reached a certain place, CO2 is released in the gun to throw the paintball out.
Water would just brake up in the gun or at the tip of the barrel.
Savvy?

If you really wanted to, I suppose you could make some kind of plunger mechanism that shoves the water through a shaft, and then a nozzle. I highly doubt the effectiveness of it however.

I have no idea. I know next to nothing about paintball guns. I'm just using what was stated previously.
The diagram is supposed to be within a paintball gun. The reservoir would be the paintball magazine, so it wouldn't be able to hold much water. The water would be injected into the plunger shaft and forced through the nozzle. I suppose it would be machine gunish.
I'm not sure how effective this would be, or if it would work at all for that matter.

Yeah, my friend was under the impression that the water could be forced out purely by the force of the CO2. I would never want to fool around with it without knowing exactly what I'm doing due to the rediculous cost of paintball guns. It's probably one of the top 3 reasons I stick with super soakers.....

WWN had a thread that was about a CO2 powered watergun. There have been other articles about CO2 powered soakers like on SSCentral. Thing is you would be spending alot of cash for CO2 cans, since water requires more pressure than paint balls or bbs.
As for turning a painball gun into a soaker, it wouldn't be worth it. Just buy a spray gun, change the nozzle and fill it with water.
