Yesterday I received both from Germany. They are definitly more powerful than what I've read. The 500 pushed the water at around 27'(45 angle) at 3.6x(measuring cup) and the 600 will do 32' at 3.3x. This of course means that they can blow-away a standard Devestator. The reason I say that is because I've bored-out a few of my small nozzled soakers. This includes the Devestator, Flash Flood, Max6000, XP310 with 7/64" drillbit with decent results: the Devestator can now put out 4x to 33'(45) , FF's standard nozzle is now rated at 3x to 35' , MD6000: 3.3x to 37'(-1'), XP310: 3x to 30'. XP310 also got drilled w/ 1/8" bit for a 4x shotgun-type blast to 15'(45 angle). This bit was used last night on my SCs. Alittle tuff considering the nozzle moves and it was a large bore. After kindof a long clean-out job, I finely got to fire them off....WOW!! The 500 is mean, even though it has the smallest CPS cylinder, it can now put out a 5x shot(measured) at 22'(loose of 5'...oh well).
I'm guessing this is possible because of the small PC(quicker reaction?) and the fact that these both still use lamination walls(holed in other words). The SC600 even had a debris screen..what's up with that? Even with that, the 600 still pulled off a 4.5x shot at 30'(-2'). After that, I went ahead and bored my CPS2100 Mk3 with a 9/64" bit, but have not fired it yet(should be close if not better than my CPS1000). BEWARE though when dealing with CPS or XP type plunger valves, you have debris screens, laminator straws/blocks/walls, and the the plunger itself. XPs, also, can be greatly altered ie. shotgun blast if you use too large of a bit(~1/8"). Ball valves(MaxD) seem to be easier to deal with...my 6000 might get the 1/8" or even the 9/64" bit taken to it, the lamination is still very tight right now.
