The Monster XL check valve appears to look similar to the check valve of the CPS 1000/1200/2100.

There are multiple marks of the Monster XL however, so different marks may have differences. The pictures shown in the check valve freezing articles still should cover most configurations.

It is not always from the pressure. My old 90 balloon gun did not shoot at first, but that was because I didn't align it correctly. My 68 balloon and 72 balloon 21Ks didn't shoot at first because the pin was scraping up against the pc. Carefully bending it away solved that problem.

I would suggest against 50, 60, and 80. 30-40 is the optimal amount if you want your trigger valve to survive for a long time. If you have to go high, do 80-90, for then the bladder will hit the pc walls before anything has a chance to blow out. ~45-75 allows you to pump enough times to blow out the trigger valve. With ~80-90, you can't blow out the valve and therefore don't have to watch your pump count. You can still get 60ft range with 40 balloons if you do other things to improve range.
