Once upon a time, there was a thread like this, but fear it was lost during previous forum loss.
Anyhow, for those less familiar with terms, the following are some common terms used in the soaker modding/building discussions. This list isn't meant to list all possible modifications, rather to list terms more specialized to Soakerdom.
APH: Air Pressure Homemade
CVF: Check Valve Freeezing - removal or stopping of the pressure release valve on some soaker models such that higher internal pressures can be achieved
Collosus Mod: addition of layers of inner-tube onto cylindrical CPS-type chambers to increase the chamber power
K-Mod: addition of balloons around a spherical CPS-type chamber to increase strength of chamber power. 'K' refers to '1000' as earlier builders noted their modified blaster by putting an additional '0' at the end (i.e. a modded CPS1200 became a CPS12000).
XPS: addition of balloons into air pressure chambers to make them more CPS-like (initially done on XP-model blasters)
---------------------------------------
There are probably more that can be added to this list, but those are the ones that are currently coming to mind.

Oh, there's much more:
CPH: Constant pressure homemade
CAP: Constant air pressure homemade [very few exist]
PPH: Piston pressure homemade [very few exist]
Multi-Nozzle Mod: Removal of the stock nozzle and replacement with PVC fittings that allow for the use of theoretically infinate nozzle settings.
Nozzle Selector Mod: Drilling out another hole for another option in guns which already have selectors, or other alteration. Used for the CPS 2700, 1500/1700, 1-3-5, etc.
Nozzle Mod: Drilling out any nozzle on any gun in order to make it larger.
Integration: Any use of one soaker's parts in a another soaker.
PC Swapping Integration: Swapping a spherical pressure chamber from one CPS gun to another and vice versa. Written as pc then host gun-a CPS 1521 would be a 1500 pc in a 2100 casing.
Reservoir Expansion: Sawing off the end of a soaker's tank and attaching an object so as to expand the gun's total capacity.
Shotgun Mod: Simply sawing into a nozzle to enlarge it. Produces a short range riot blast.
Pump Reinforcement: A soaker with a tracked pump can have the pump reinforced. Involves replacing the plastic column that runs through the pump shaft with a screw or other stronger object.
Trigger Valve Replacement: Replacing a blown-out trigger valve with a ball valve and PVC parts. Difficult and not well documented.
Tribulation: A series of mods specifically for a CPS 1500/1700.
Ideal Nozzle Orifice: The best nozzle size/diameter for range in a given soaker, calculated using empirical and graphing data.
And I know there are some I missed as well...

Yeah, I knew I missed some. However, terms like 'Reservoir expansion' and 'nozzle mods' I didn't consider adding to the first list since those particular terms are fairly self-explanatory. Same thing with things like 'Trigger reinforcing', 'Trigger replacement', etc. Otherwise, one can also add in things like painting, camoflaguing, and detailing. I was aiming at the stranger terms like APH, CAP/H and K-mod type terms.

At SSC, I started using PCgH
PCgH: PreCharger Homemade (a homemade water gun that uses a PreCharger chamber, with separate PC compartments for the water and the air)
PC: Pressure Chamber

PCgH - there's a newer term. Thanks for the note (and welcome to the forums, too)! As for PC, that's a general soaker term and not as specialized for homemades or modding.
However, in light of this thread, perhaps I really need to rebuild the full soaker-term and glossary section and include these in. I'll work on that later today.
