The Insanely Overpriced Water Gun Thread

Post by SEAL » Fri Dec 28, 2012 11:32 am

Seen any ultra-overpriced water guns for sale lately? Post them here. Not sure if this should be stickied or not; I'll leave that up to iSoaker.

Anyway, I'll start us off. Check out this Water Warriors Hydro Blast on Amazon.com. My mind is blown.

It seems like there are a lot of overpriced blasters on Amazon for some reason; even more so than Ebay (that might have to do with the fact that there's no bidding on Amazon).

^^ I saw the big trouble before. Also the SS200. At least the 100 wasn't broken, I saw one for around $100 that was broken. :o

Depending on how you look at it, the entire 2013 Nerf Super Soaker line appears to be in varying degrees of being "insanely" overpriced. :goofy:

Hmm, the Hydro Blast that I linked to in the first post is now only $6.50. It was originally like $360 or something like that.

The Lightningstorm was extremely overpriced; what was it, $25 for a medium-sized gun that has the same power as a dollar store squirt pistol?

To be fair $6.50 is more than you should pay for a Hydro Blast.

hey, you, would you like a Tornado Strike with an extra clip? sure, that'll be $106.92 USD
What about a rattler 2-pack? only $125.98 USD!
Oh sears, you never fail to disappoint...

And you thought Toys R Us was overpriced! :goofy:

I thought $19.99 for the "xtreme" hydro pack was expensive. $49.99 at Sears? No way.

This tops EVERYTHING. (You might have to scroll down a bit.) Other sellers are listing it for like $9.50, but it seems International Coffee & Books wants to make a little extra profit... It might be a mistake, but still...

I challenge the board to find something worse.

Edit: It's actually gone now. If you didn't see it, it was one of those 'junior firefighter' backpack squirt guns that can be seen when you click on the link. Price? $999.99
