Depending on your budget, I'd recommend the WW Piranha, WW Blazer, and WW Scorpion. The WW Splat Blast is fun, too, but doesn't push out as much water as once as the others. If there's a Walmart near you, most should be available though if you're in the US, not sure if you'll be able to find a Scorpion (some say it has appeared in some stores though I haven't been able to verify it).
As for 'best to buy', that really depends what you're looking for.

I like the Blazer, it's possibly the best one. It's the Piranha's big brother. The thing that worries me about the Scorpion is if your battery runs out, the gun is useless.
If nothing else you can find some guns on Amazon. The Blazer there is $18 with shipping factored in. That's about what you'd normally pay for it, I think.
This is rather off topic, but how much do Kryptons usually go for? I saw one at K-Mart for $25. That sounds like a little much.
