Homemade pump?

Post by Nitro123PG » Wed May 04, 2011 8:52 pm

Well, in my attempts to repair my XP 150 I did something really dumb, so here you are reading this. I had to make a pump for my XP 150, but instead of measuring the XP 150, I used the measurments from SSC. So here I am with a useless pump that is supposed to be a half inch bigger :| . Would anyone want it, and how much would you pay for it?

Here is the article I built the pump by: http://www.sscentral.org/homemade/pumps ... ction.html

You may be able to extend it with some cleverwork. The most obvious solution that comes to mind is to simply move the handle forward by however much you have to.

Is your pump too short, or too small? Too short is easy to solve, too small is a problem. If the pump is long enouhn, you could just saw off the sealing end, get bigger O-rings, and a new material to hold them in place.

It is too small, diameter wise.
