I'm willing to pay 30 bucks for an SC 500 with box and QFD, 25 for the 500 and box, 25 for the 500 and QFD, or 20 bucks for just the 500.

Anyone want to sell?

Why exactly? And then, why not a 600?

I like the 500's size over the SC 600's. Why must I say why I need one? And yes, that does not include the shipping price and I will afford all shipping.

I think that the 500 offers the same output and range as the 600 in a smaller package.

Hmm, by those stats it looks like the 600 was just a bulkier version of the 500.

Why talk on a forum at all? I think the 600 is better than the 500 in almost every way, so it's kind of weird to want to be hunting for a 500. Look at ISoaker's actual stats, not the ratings. The pressure tank is twice as big on the 600.

I don't mind. The SC 500 shoots farther, and because of its smaller PC, it takes less pumps as well. If you like the 600 better, I don't care. I can see why someone would. But I prefer a smaller gun.

Why is it wierd? It's just stupid to think that the largest is the best automatically. The 500 is much more manuevarable. For all we know, Soakologist could simply be buying the gun for a scout or spy, in which case the 600 woudl be to unwieldly. At any rate, he shoudl be allowed to keep secrets on an online discussion board. You can't expect somone to share all with people they don't even know. Lighten up, he's just looking for a gun.

A gun shouldn't just be picked for power, but for the effectiveness it has in the situation its owner needs it to perform in. I think Cloud wanted a backup weapon or lighter weapon instead of a main cannon.

Hehe, you're telling me to lighten up? I was just curious why he wanted a 500 over a 600.. and now people are talking about how I'm intruding upon his precious secrets. The 600 isn't much bigger than a 500, but it has useful extra water capacity. So, I asked him what he wanted a 500 for. You guys need to lighten up.

As you can see from Isoakers comparison, the capacity difference is not worth mentioning.

I already replied to that. Those ratings are just one person's subjective assessments. As I said last time those ratings were quoted a few posts up in this thread, according to Isoaker's actual stats, the 600 has a pressure chamber twice as large as the 500. That's an important feature that the ratings don't properly take into account. The gun is only a little bit bigger, but can put out twice as much water on a full pump. It only makes sense to ask why someone would prefer a 500.

^ I wouldn't compare blasters by my ratings, either! :goofy:

However, I, personally, like the SC500 over the SC600 since my SC500's seem to have a little more punch to them. 'tis true that the SC500's pressure chamber is much smaller than an SC600's, but the SC500 just feels better built and works better for me in my hands.

However, I'll admit I've also grown a strong fondness for the XP310 and the Helix to compliment my preferred use of the Monster (2001).

So iSc's normal armaments in battle include his Monster '01, a Helix, and an XP-310? How do you manage the two sidearms?

After comparing my SC 600 to Exodus' SC 500, I'd have to say that the SC 500 is a better soaker. It feels more comfortable to hold, and the smaller size just has a much better feel to it. It has a bit more output than the SC 600 does and the range is about the same. Sure, it may have less shot time, but 7 seconds is still pretty long. I'd say that the SC 500 is the ultimate weapon for scouts, and that's definitely what I would take with me (if it was available at the time) if I were to go on a scouting mission.
