Yeah i spotted this baby, but my dad was too arrogant and was watching a movie. DON's most powerful gun was a Vaporizer, and I felt he deserved to have this one, and Id help him fix it. Cant wait to fight along side it, and I still get to get my airsoft gun tomorrow morning! lol  its an honor to get to repair and work on a cps 1500, let along fight alongside it. When you get the CPS 3200 DON, Talk to me about trading that 1500, afrer all you live 2 blocks down

So are you going to create a cap for it since it doesn't come with one?

Are you sure it's not a fake? I heard from Duxburian that a lot of cps 1500's are fake. I bought one off ebay a couple days ago for 35 dollars.

Nah, This is the Real Thing. Looked at the dozens of Bootlegs. This Is the whole enchilada. No Problems, although the Nozzle thing, (The Orange Part) Isn't normally ridged like that. Have to talk to Isoaker 'bout that.

As I said a million and a half times over AIM DON..... Its the camera angle, or isn't attached. I would however ask someone who has used one or its twin brother, the CPS 1700, before. Even if it isnt attached, there is probably something I can do about it, Im sure it will chnge nozzles without it, if its not there. What I plan to do once it enters the workshop:
1.) Begin work on sanding with a very fine paper, if necessary. It is necessary if i find any marks, to improve looks of the blaster.
2.) Cut off the CPS 1200 Cap, and place that cap on for the CPS 1500.
3.) Get extra strap from the hangar closet, and attach where appropriate.
All in all I am very proud we can add sych a legendary '98 to out armory.

It's definitely a bona-fide CPS 1500. Those "ridges" which you're noting are merely image flaws due to poor camera quality or jpeg infidelity. This is a perfect 1500 with the exception of the cap.

Wow, that looks like it's in great condition, too! I don't know what you mean by ridged nozzle selector, you can't even see the nozzle selector in that photo, but that's probably because it's set to 5x.
Cut off the CPS 1200 Cap, and place that cap on for the CPS 1500.
Whatever you do, do NOT cut the cap off the 1200. Not sure if you knew this, but you can get caps out of reservoirs by turning the tethers on their sides. Besides, the CPS 1200 is a great soaker anyway, so borrow the cap from something crap like an XP 270. (If you have one.)

The XP-270 cap doesn't fit on a CPS.

The XP 270 is a very useful backup weapon, it has great range for its size.

Very nice and you're lucky that you got it for the increadibly inexpensive price of $9.95. Kind of reminds me when those of us on the Eastern Seaboard landed on Sports Authorities with CPS 2100s at $7.49-$9.95. The only thing I must note is that shipping prices have gone up considerably over the years.

Yeah. Shipping is more popular these days, and the big companies like USPS, UPS, and FedEx know that the demand will remain, even if they gouge them on the prices.

I think that there may be two types of XP 270 cap. I have two XP 270s and both of their caps are identical to CPS caps, and they fit on both my 2100 and 1700 with ease, although in that little advertising booklet that you get with the 2000 and 2001 soakers, it shows a different kind of cap that looks flatter, so that suggests to me that there may be two different versions of the XP 270 cap.

Yes, I know it isn't that bad, but after several years of using two old and badly rusted XP 270s (When I was younger I was stupid enough to use them in the pool) as my most useful weapon, I am completely and utterly SICK of them.

None of the guns in the little booklet are accurate. Most of them are wooden models.
