$10s for 2 Max D 5000s

2 Max D 5000s for $10, free shipping. I personally don't care for Max D 5000s, every single person I've known that has owned one has had theirs break. The stream size is good, but being that size without a firing chamber and being that fragile (trigger/nozzle again) is just not what I'm into.

But hey... if you dig Max D 5000s it's a good price...

I take your word for it when you say every single person, because the ball valve on mine stopped sealing a while ago. Its not difficult to lube a valve or string rubber bands over where a snapped spring used to be. But to have to deal with the valve itself is a pain, one I may never get to experience since I'm usually too busy repairing better blasters.

That sounds like a great deal. Today the closest thing to a Max-D 5000 is probably the Outlaw, but now they're back for twice as cheap!

I have a policy not to use Max Ds... except for the Aquapack Devastator and Flash Flood... which are currently broken... but they are way too good not to spend a lot of time repairing. My Flash Flood was my 2nd furthest shooting gun (after my 2000mk1) with the screen removed on the flood nozzle.

But yeah, I don't care if the Max D 6000 shoots a foot or 2 further than the 310 and has more stream consistancy, or if the 5000 is likewise to the 270 or whatever it is supposed to be comparable too, because they break. When you have maybe 1 or 2 battles a year it's easy to overlook this and say, oh the Max Ds are so much better than the XPs etc., but if you fight with any kind of decent frequency you stay away from Max Ds.

I remember in 2002, my team had 3 Max D 6000s, 2 Max D 5000s, and a Max D 4000. None of them lasted to the end of summer. Over the next 2 years people bought 2 Liquidators, a Secret Strike, and a Hydroblade. They all broke within 2 years. Meanwhile, I recovered a CPS 1500 from the bottom of a lake (after the lake had been drained). It had been charged for a year. I fired it. It still works. Likewise, my brother and I are still using perfectly functional 13 year old SS 100s from 1998. Everyone knocks the 100, saying it's fragile, yes it is, but I will take a fragile 100 that will last me indefinitely if I am careful with it all day every day over a Max D 6000 that 100% will break after a certain amount of trigger squeezes no matter how well you take care of it.

Maybe I just got a good one, but I have had my MD6k for a couple years, and it works just fine. It is a great gun while it lasts. It is also still available, while the 310 is not.

Wow, I will have to look into this. I don't like max D-trigers much ether but for $10! Even if I only get 2 battles out of them I'd say it is worth it.
