Congrats to Urbanfighter7! He asked me how to find hidden auctions, so I gave him the usual advice. Then what happens a minute later? He found a CPS 2000 for $40, BIN! The trigger needs reinforcement, but it is one heck of a crazy deal! Actually ties the record for cheapest 2000 that I've ever seen on Ebay.

*hint*
Searching for mistyped/mispelled and wrong categorized typ soakers. Also searching all alternative words for soakers on the search engine such as "Squirt gun" or "Water Pistol". Also looking closely at the whole outdoor toys category.

*Well, its not realy a hint anymore*.

The only real advice is to look in more depth than everyone else. Most people just type in super soaker and that's the limit to their depth. You have to try other keywords, check out the categories, try misspelling, and even broaden the type of water guns you want (the better XPs are still great water guns).

Last year several NIB SS 300s went for very cheap with only one or two bids, and my own brother bought one for $20. You can't get better than that. Around the same time, I bought an XP 150 for $0.99, but with $13 shipping (or something to that effect).

You'll find a lot of stuff that people overlooked with these tips. I see lots of things people overlook. I do not buy everything I see however because other people do need those water guns more than I do (just a hint to those who insist on the third or whatever of a certain water gun).

What are some common misspellings on ebay that one should use to look for super soakers?

Anything really. "super saoker" for example. Also check phrases without spaces, such as "watergun" or "supersoaker". You can actually get great deals during the heart of the season. My best so far was a pair of CPS 3200s in mint condition for $40.
