Ready-made PVC pumps?!

They're not particularly efficient but I could see them being better than our adapted or improvised homemade solutions. They're fairly short-stroke and perhaps a bit large on the diameter but they do hold a very nice seal... Would be a good way to make a more compact AP or CPH.
Short and sweet and what tests I could improvise at the store shows them very capable of dealing with pressure. They're slip joints designed to allow movement in a PVC structure... $5.99 for the 3/4" one, which is the most likely for me. $3.99 for the 1/2" and I didn't catch the price on the 1" and 1.5" ones.
You can't clearly see it in the pic, but the inner piece has a second groove cut in it to allow for a second o-ring to be installed making for an even better seal. Good stuff.

Looks like a great find! Just make sure you buy 1/2", 3/4" is just too big for efficient pumping!

Wow, I love the O-ring setup and the fact that it can support 2. The 1.5" could have potential in a piston PC, to separate the air and water.
Where did you find these things?

Pumping would be difficult, but maybe you could make a homemade Pulse gun. This also might be good for making a homemade assassins weapon.

Found them at Ace Hardware!
I have some... Labor-intensive hobbies, so a large diameter pump doesn't bother me too much. As hardcore as some people here are, I thought sharing would be a good idea- though the 3/4" and 1/2" fittings are not too large. The short stroke will also help to offset the large diameter, as each individual stroke will go by more quickly.
I could see sealing them to make an any-angle APH...
Crap. Apparently, the pipe and fitting section of the Ace Hardware website is no longer available... What the heck?

Wow, that looks legit. If I were you I'd buy some for experimenting with homemades.

I'm broke. I make $60/week and have to pay $80/week for gas to get to school. I can't afford another homemade. Maybe this summer!
I'd do a compact unit to complement by big one.

I just recently saw those at Ace. They are pretty neat, but are too short-stroke to make a good primary weapon, but maybe a secondary.

This thread is kind of old. In general, if a thread is more that a few weeks old, unless you have something to add (would you make a new thread for it?), there is no need to post in it.

Oh, ok, sorry. I don't have a habit of checking dates, I'm used to a very active forum(you post one thread, 2 days later its on the 2nd page if no one posts on the thread. thats how active it is.) This didn't seem very far down the list, and I saw the pumps today, so I thought I might say my thoughts on them.

No biggie.
Just something to keep in mind.
