New Homemade: SCH

Post by SEAL » Wed Sep 01, 2010 3:00 pm

I posted this on SSC, but now that there's a homemade section here, I might as well post it here too. SCH stands for Super Charger Homemade.

First of all, this was probably the quickest blaster I've ever put together. It took only about 2 hours.

Here is a picture of the blaster next to an XP 270 for comparison.

It has three nozzles. I don't have pics and stats of the smallest nozzle, but I have the other two.
Here's the medium sized.

Here's the largest.

And here's the riot blast. This was taken at night, so we had to use the flash.

Here are the stats.
Medium nozzle:
Range: 53 feet.
Output: 2 cups/1 second.
Shot time: 3 seconds.
Soakage: Around 2 feet in diameter.

Large nozzle:
Range: 48 feet.
Output: 2 and a half cups/1 second.
Shot time: 2 and a half seconds.
Soakage: A little more then 2 feet in diameter.

Riot blast:
Range: 44 feet, 5 inches.
Output: A little more then 4 cups a second.
Shot time: 2 and a half seconds.
Soakage: 2 feet, 7 and a half inches.

PROS:
Insane power in a small package.
Comfortable.
Very sturdy.
Light and easy to use.

CONS:
Very low shot time.
Long and tedious process for refilling.
Kind of hard to carry it as back-up unless you have a backpack.

I will post pictures and stats of the smallest nozzle around tomorrow. This is my 100th post by the way!

Well, here are some pictures of the new nozzle I made. I don't have stats yet because my brother wouldn't help me.

First of all, here's a picture of the nozzle on the blaster.

And here's a picture of it shooting.

(Note: The kiddie pool in the background is not ours, it's for our ducks. :goofy: )

I don't think it got as much range as the other nozzles, but I could be wrong. The shot time was a bit longer, which is what I wanted.

That's pretty awesome. I've made a couple SCHs. I'm planning on making one sometime that's actually compatible with a Super Soaker QFD. I'm pretty sure I know what I need, but I'll need a QFD to make sure.

Saaaayyyy.... Now there's an idea! I don't happen to have any QFDs anymore though. Maybe I'll try to make a blaster that's compatible with one of C-A_99's VHS attachments.

I think that would be the same thing.

Yeah maybe. I might do something like this in the far future. After I actually build a VHS. I'm thinking like an over-the-shoulder type quickfiller. Like the Aquapak Devastator.
