Some claim they get slightly range with the screen removed since it no longer slows down the stream. Of course, this also reduces the amount the stream spreads which is both good and bad depending on the end effect you want from the stream.

Soon, I plan to purchase two flash floods. (soon meaning as soon as oppurtunity provides itself)

I'm interested definitely in the effects of this mod, so when i get the two Flash Floods, I'll do the mod and post pictures. No promises on when though, it could be a while.

I did this mod to my MI FF and it made the burst more powerful. I suggest doing this mod. I also did it to my AB and my HB.

Is there any chance you could post a picture of the shot w/o the screen, on the MI:FF?

Also, does anyone here know whether or not the screen can go back in?

The screen is absolutely useless unless you're modifying it with a smaller nozzle. (in that case, the screen could help with stream lamination, though I'm not certain on this) But I would just remove it anyway. It doesn't go back on (which is a given looking at it), but it's unecessary anyway. It may slightly compromise shot time (maybe by up to .8 sec) but the flood already goes very fast anyway.

I suppose the screen was put in to prevent the careless and/or dumber ones from putting stuff into the firing chamber.

That pic was only with ten pumps. It was really hard to get a shot of 30 pumps, so I did ten. It would have been a lot bigger.

Ah. So there's no real downside to this then, I guess. I cannot wait, for this will be interesting.

So, you don't have a FF yet? If you don't which ones are you getting? MI or STE? MI is obviously better because of the aquapack capability.

I'm getting STE. I have one that's coming in on wednesday, and I plan to purchase a second one as soon as the money gets into my paypal account.

I really... for some reason, I'm not at all a fan of the MI concept in general, I think that backpack guns and regular guns should be separated. That's just me. Also, STE is older and a *little* bit harder to get, and since I'm a collector, that matters to me. Plus, if i really really desparately need something to be Max-Infusion-ified, I can just grab the cap for it off of one of my other guns, like the Hydroblitz.

I opened the screen by first jabbing a screwdriver into the screen. Then getting plyers and plucking it out. It's really fun!

Ah. That easy- Haha... is it a clean removal after that, or are there remnants?
It does sound fun, but I definitely want to make sure that it looks neat when completed.

That'd be awesome. I eagerly await any pictures that you plan to post, I will definitely post some of my own as soon as I do the modification myself. This will be Wednesday.

... ... My NIB STE: FF was shipped today USPS Priority Mail, so it'll be here Wed. of course, I'll modify it immediately.

I'm happy for you! If only you had MSN or YIM I could talk to you. And I'm Canadian so if I try to download AIM it messes up my comp.
