Silver-Bullet - Building the perfect homemade
This is a topic that is dedicated to the design and constructions of a "Silver Bullet Homemade", essentially the perfect rifle beam weapon.
I want ideas from anybody and everybody who has a brain.
In the past, I have used Blender-3D to make computer generated designs of water-weapons, so I could really SEE what the homemade would look like even before I build it.
I could use it for this project as-well, constantly changing and posting the design as its thought out.
So, I think the first thing we need to do is decide on what to aim for.
Range,
Size,
Price,
Type, (CPH, APH etc)
Water Load,
etc.
So fire away, give us all your ideas.

Range: as much as possible.
Size: Only as big as it needs to be.
Price: irrelevant.
Type: CPS/CAPS (that's just "CAP" with an "S" for "System tacked on).
Water Load: (I'm assuming this means output) Medium (in the ballpark range of 10x).
I'm sure some of you are thinking "What? Medium? Are you kidding?" No. I'm not. Massive blasts of water are ineffective, and it has been proved that medium streams go farther. The gun should not be designed to push too much water out. So, I think it should be made of 1/2" PVC. This means more pressure.

Oh. Capacity? It should be alterable, depending on the user. My backpack design for my homemade-in-progress is two of the Advanced Quick-Fill Bottles strapped together. Then, I have simply linked them using a T-Joint and 1/2" PVC. The PVC fits in the lip of the bottle perfectly.

To make anything decent with a trigger a nice body you need a 3d printer. Or if you don’t want to pay 20,000 you can use one of the services below they take your CAD files and create a physical model you can get it printed in a wide variety of materials. Most places even have an instant quote feature these days where you upload your model and they give you a quote. you can find 100 of places that wil print your stuff these days.

Part of the idea of this homemade is that it can be built with easily accessible items, such as PVC and rubber tubbing.
I myself enjoy building them, its like a bigger version of model airplanes and stuff, except these have real use, rather than just sitting on a shelf getting dusty.

Ok, I've drawn up a base model for us to work on.
I took some of it configuration from Dux's newest homemade.
Side.
Top.
Front.

The two lower chambers are duel 3"x18" reservoirs.
Above them is a 3"x12" CPH pressure chamber, the 1" nozzel and a 1/2" track-pump.
Give me your opinions and changes to it, I'll add stuff that sounds like a good idea and we'll see how it looks then.

I've drawn up a V0.2 design with the appropriate changes from suggestions that I received on this forum and others.
The reservoirs are slightly longer and the threaded cap has been reduced in size.
I've rearranged the trigger in accordance with your suggestions.
The pump is now a standard type.
You can now see the internals of the CPS PC.
I hadn't said anything on my reply with the first design, but I had been going to leave the PC unglued for exactly the reasons that were later stated.
This PC is also not glued in and can be taken apart to access the LRT.
Keep up the replies, the Silver-Bullet is taking shape.
