CPS 1700 leaks from the pump

Post by hmkobe » Sat Jul 25, 2015 8:56 pm

My CPS 1700 leaks from the pump badly when pumping. I checked the pump end but it looked normal. I found at isoaker.com that lubricating the rod could be an idea, so I tried that with a silicone grease but it didn't make any difference.
Now, I found the black o-ring at the bottom of the pump tube (sorry for the bad picture), and thinking that replacing this o-ring might be a solution.
Has anyone done this before, or come up with any other possibilities? Please let me know.
Thank you.

Jayblazer, I read about your repair, thank you very much. I haven't tried that yet, but in your last pick, you just put a o-ring in it, or both a vinyl tube and o-ring? Please let me know. It seems the pump of 2700 is very similar to that of 1700 so I believe I can do exactly the same way as you to fix it. Thank you.
