Ok so the trigger on my 2500 has finally broke. I think I can fix it it's not completely snapped but when I tried to remove the trigger wire so I could take it to school and fix it, the wire snapped off in the hole where it goes in the trigger. help?

You mean the wire broke the hole that it normally sits in? Or the wire itself broke? You can fix the former by drilling a new hole (might have to attach something as support like epoxy putty and drill through it). If the wire is too short for the new location or won't bend into the right shape for it, you can use coat hanger wire.

Try cutting up and bending a coat hanger wire. I've done it on a 2500 before. It will take some patience to get it into the right shape, and it won't make those tight turns like the stock wire. I simply looped it through the trigger hole rather than try all those perfect 90 degree turns.

Usually the plastic parts break first, so I got a bit confused. However, a broken wire makes sense considering how easily they rust. Anyway, use pliers and take your time. The wire you're using may be too weak to handle bends well, however; if that's the case, loop around the holes like Duxburian mentioned.

Ok how long should the new wire be?

So what's the best kind of wire you can use to replace the stock part? Obviously something rust proof or rust resistant. I guess that would be brass or stainless steel. I think brass would be better cuz it's more maleable.

Ok it's fine now. I bent the wire back into shape and installed it. Everything is fine now.

Good that you fixed it. Same thing happened to me with my 2000. fixed it with a coat-hanger and pliers!
