I was playing around with my 100 and then the pump snaped at the base T.T Anyone know a better method of repairing this other than holding it still and epoxying everywhere?

Make one out of metal, and yes you can do that.

How would one go about this...? Also how would I attach it? It's RIGHT at the base.

Edit: Think hot glue can hold pressure? I know the ss100 doesn't have that much pressure, and it would only be the pressure of a pump of water, since it's at the pump where it cracked. It's a lot easier to one hand hot glue than epoxy.

So you broke the pump rod, not the hollow shaft? Just use superglue and some reinforcing dowel rods. Hot glue is good for many things, but this is not one of them. Well, again, it might work, but it really depends, and it's a question of how long it will last.

I'm pretty sure dowel rods don't work for classic pumps. They are kind of + shaped if you took a cross section. As for making a new pump out of metal, GJIV has done it before. I suggest PMing him. Also, talk to DX, he has a friend in Jersey who owns a metal shop. He makes parts for Nerf guns.

No the tube surrounding it, not the pump rod, is what broke.

Hot glue doesn't work for parts that will be under water pressure. Water is incredibly insistent upon getting out when under pressure. You can stop air pressure with your hand. Water will spurt right out of the same system, though. I tried firing water out of my PAS, which had such a good seal that it vacuum loaded darts out of CPVC. But, the exact same seal failed terribly against water and the whole internal area got swamped. You need to reattach the new pump shaft with the most hardcore thing you've got, I prefer epoxy or multi purpose cement when applicable.

For the tube around it you need 3 things: a new pipe with the same ID and OD, a pipe which has an ID which = OD of the original pipe, epoxy.

Well, it is only the pump so it's not too much pressure is it? I'm eventually going to strip the glue and go to two part epoxy resin(J.B kwik), but can someone elaborate on what Cyan Acrylate is and where to buy it?

The area where the pump is has to be the exact same pressure, or more than the pressure in the PC. Otherwise, the second check valve won't open.

Cyanoacrylate glues, or CA glues, are commonly known as super glue.
