Fix the CPS 1500. K-mod it if you want, although keep in mind this gun should be in every person's "Top 10 water guns of all time" list, stock... If you want to add a 3rd nozzle option, I can show you how I did mine. (I did a 3X.... works great)
You don't even know, how easy it is to open a CPS 1500 with no nozzle cap. (compared to mine which are all glued on...)

It holds pressure until you pull the trigger, and then keeps firing until empty/low pressure? Easy fix. Just epoxy a second spring to the back of the firing pin, or add to/replace the spring on the pin. Should push the valve closed after pulling the trigger after that.

XXP 275 with Power Pak internals. Well, externals.
Actually, I have an idea. You might be able to block off one chamber for the XXP275, stick the hose from the Power Pak into the other chamber spot, and relocate the SC connector (cannabalize the Power Pak gun) to the XXP275. (Been done before). You should be able to completely fill the Power Pak by pumping the XXP 275 (2.75L reservoir) XD lol. And while you are at it, I would imagine you could give the gun a trigger. Darm. Now I wish I had a Power Pak to play with...

If you have any questions on how to do the CPS 1500 firing repair go to Duke Soak 'Em. He has instructions, it's pretty simple. What do you mean by the XXP 275's trigger is dead? Is it broken? Is it missing? Is it there and it keeps firing after you release it? You should try to get a QFD to try out the Power Pak.

Soak's goin to send a qfd, 1500 sounds easy.

XXP 275: trigger clanks when pulled, like a ferocious zipper sound, I didn't dare shoot it when I heard something fall off. Meh. :p

What's the difference between the two types?

Mk1 has just the connection, meanwhile mk2 has a small tube sticking out of the backpack. Check Duke's mark page.

okay. I've opened up the pull valve. I hate it. I slightly glued the O-ring. I put the valve's screws back in, but then it hit me: what if it's just the seal keeping the valve case shut? screws in, drowned in superglue.

That sounds... good? Let us know if you have managed to fix it. I can't believe you "just opened up the pull valve"!
