That's a quickly taken picture of the internals, I had a lot of leaks, mainly at the connections so I gooped and epoxied everything. Now that the leaks are fixed though there's two more (hopefully final) problems. One, the internal spring is rusted most likely, I have to hold the firing pin forward with my finger to keep it to pressurize. I tried a normal rubberband but I guess it was too weak, it was pretty thin. And two when I do hold it and pump it a few times (air only) The back of the tank, at the firing pin, it leaks and theres a little gray water. It doesn't smell like mold though.

Also, when this is all said and done I'm going to fill the deadspace in the shell with Epoxy Putty to give it some weight, make it a lot more durable, and because my dollar store now sells epoxy putty. Is this a good idea? I'm getting an ss 200 soon I'd like to do the same to to fix the weakness problems as well as replace all of the tubing (darn pinch valves) once I get it and find out what size tubing I need.

Well, I personally would get my own new gun, preferably a gorgon/collossus. Those two are actually REALLY good, too.

And a ball valve! interesting. If you want better performance, replace the pull with the ball valve, and create a lever trigger.

Haha woops, ignore the table. I'm not a big fan of ball valve style blasters sadly, my local stores already took water guns off the shelves, and I'd rather find a way to fix this than buy a new blaster. Mostly because of how much work went into it already, and because I need as many blasters for as low money as I can get.

you could always upgrade it, if you don't mind changing the appearance. It's cheap, too! Replace resevoir w/ gallon jug, replace PCs with 590ml soda bottles(the average kind). With that, theres more PC space for more power, and more capacity!

I was thinking that (only PVC) but there's still the problem with the trigger valve.

The best thing about the 110 is ergonomics ie the weight balance, how smoothly and quickly it pumps, the fact you can fire with one hand, etc. If you add a gallon jug you destroy the entire purpose of the gun. You'd be much better off just saving up for a Gorgon... but one thing you will learn about water warfare vs nerf is that there are a plethora of primary weapons. It's not like everyone is running around with rainbows only. I would never put a gallon jug or PVC on my 110, but if it works for you all the better.

You should go with the firing pin repair that maruader is talking about, but as far as leaking around the firing pin, you might be in for some trouble. Is the tank around the pin cracked at all? If not, the internal seal might be degrading (due to acidic water used in the gun) and that would be your grey water. If you are triple sure the plastic around the pin isn't cracked, use a clamp/spring//block the nozzle/whatever and pump it up to max. If the leak doesn't seal itself, it will either get worse, allowing you to see the problem clearly, or continue to slowly leak, causing you to decide whether you want to ignore it or not. I have only ever fixed two pull valves, and the one where I fixed the internal spring took 6 screws and 30 seconds to open. I don't think fixing the XP 110 would be worth doing, especially because of where the valve sits and the need for cutting.
I wish I could give you my XP 110(any). I have seen an XP 110 at a thrift store 3 times for 5.99$, took the first (and nicest) one, and ignored the rest, until picking up a broken one for 3$ that pump-shoots but has no pressure leaks at all.

Dang! I got a lot for about that recently, when that deal is said and done I'll post it as well as that lot for 30 with the XP 105 and cps 1200. As for this I'm going to try to lube up the firing pin, maybe that will help... Not really sure, helped in nerf once.

If that doesn't work I'm just putting it aside. Driving to PA to pick up a large lot on saturday, then I shouldn't need anymore soakers for awhile.

110 is probably my second favourite soaker of all time, so it pains me to think that someone would have to replace it. I'm in class now, so I can't help too much, but please keep us updated.

Well, the check valve seems bad, I need to get a rubber band, and it leaks from both the pump (check valve) and the firing pin. Buuuut I'm getting 25-30' with it if I hold it shut and deal with the leaking. So it is going to be my bottom of the barrel loaner haha.

My quick recommendation is to do what you've already done, but more. Plumber's epoxy on every joint and hope that seals up better, then multiple rubber bands on that firing pin (one does nothing unless you double or triple it up and it's thick to begin with).

As for check valves, from my experience, a check valve is only bad if it no longer works. See what you can do with this one, because I'd hate to see someone lose a 110.

Well leaky water isn't so bad. I have two rubber bands there now and actually came on again to post that it's working sort of. I think I need better rubber bands that aren't from staples (Trader Joes brocoli doesn't come in rubber bands anymore...) and it should be good minus moderate leaking. Right now it leaks until I pump it 2-3 times, and then when I fire it it shoots but doesn't stop shooting until I pump it 2-3 times again. Though I do love the power of these things and just how fast it empties it's reservoir.
