Bought a CPS 1500 online recently and it has a couple of problems that I need some help on. Here goes:

1. This first one is kind of hard to explain, and is pump related. When I pull out the pump at a normal speed it lags really badly. I have to wait a few seconds as the valve slowly lets water into the pump shaft before I can move it again. Pump a little bit slower, and it acts normally, no lag whatsoever. There's a certain point where the mega-lag kicks in.

2. The 5x nozzle doesn't always shoot straight. Sometimes it shoots off to the left, and other times it's perfectly straight (even during the same shot).

Sorry if my first problem didn't make sense, it was hard to describe it properly. Any help or comments would be appreciated. Thanks! :cps1500:

Sounds like the nozzle selector is out of allignment. See if anything looks worn down or broken.

Your problem is perfectly understandable. :;):

The first problem probably is caused by some sort of clog in the valves. The clog could be anywhere in the valves. I would suggest opening up your Super Soaker CPS 1500 to see if any clogs are obvious and removable. If the clog is inside of the valves, repair would be harder and I suppose it would be easiest and best to replace the valve assembly with a homemade one at that point.

My CPS 1500 shoots to the left. Learn to accept it. I haven't found a way to fix it.

My CPS 1500 has the same stream flicking to the left problem on the 5x nozzle, it's weird because the stream will start shooting straight ahead then flick off to the left and back again, often multiple times in the same shot. Only my 1500 does it though, neither of my 1700s do.. weird.
???

Yup, that's exactly what mine is doing. And as for that funny pump problem...I opened it up, but the valves are out of reach unfortunately so I can't fix any blockages (if there are any). Ah well, it's still a great gun to use. It's summer over here at the moment so I'll have to battle-test it soon! :cps1500:
