If the pump rod broke, stick a dowel through both pieces and then use epoxy or duct tape. Other than that, I think we may need a picture.

Welcome to the forums!

Sorry to hear about your soaker. When you say the handle snapped off, do you still have the pieces? Can you take a picture of it and post it?

You also may want to check out these guides depending on your problem:

i have got some pics

i cannot screw the handle back on because the semi circle bit on the pump rod has snapped off. (look at the pic of inside the handle) i would like to make a new handle because the orginal is all cracked.

In this case, if you want to completely replace the pump grip, you'll need to think of what type of grip you'd rather be holding and then mount that grip onto the pump-rod. The Legacy's Pump Reinforcement Guide has some sections that should help. You may end up needing to drill a hole through the pump-rod such that a bolt can be used to attach your new grip (or the old grip) back onto the rod. By doing so, you may end up losing a little bit of the overall available pump stroke length, but then again, you'd have a functioning pump.

Let us know what you end up deciding. If you have any questions along the way, feel free to ask *BEFORE* you attempt something you are unsure about.

Good luck and soak on!

maybe to fix it on i could drill a hole the size of the screw for the first handle at where the elbow turns into an angle and then use the bolt to screw into the rod and then epoxy it in?

then maybe i can use my stingray to help me :soakon:!!!!

C-A_99 reminded me of this article at SSC that shows off a pump-handle grip replacement. You could do something similar with your Stingray.

that kind of thing would be to large for a sting ray
also the pump rod is to short for that :(
