I recently found an XXP 175 in the junk. I took it and it only had one tank. What should I use to replace the tanks (so they both hold the same pressure)

Perhaps a SS50 or 100 tank? It'd seem one of those has to fit.

Those don't fit. You need a big mouth type of bottle (like the XP 60). Those are harder to find than the small mouth bottles. If you can't get one, either search eBay, or make a plug you can use to cover the empty hole with.

They might have different threads though, I'm not really sure. I think it will work though. Good luck on the fix!

Just for all of your information, the SS60 is a narrow neck bottle, unlike the XXP 175, which has a wide neck for the reservoir. Could I not just use PVC and make 2 replacement parts (2 reservoirs)

Well, that seems to be the best answer, besides buying another tank or XXP 175.

I sort of think buying another is out of the question, as you can't buy them in stores anymore and I cant find anything on ebay. Even if i could, I would not be old enough to bid, as I dont have a credit card or other payment method
I cant even find an XXP 175 tank on ebay. I guess I will just have to go with the PVC choice.

With the PVC choice, if you're creative and decent with working with PVC connections, you can really improve upon the original XXP175 design and build yourself a top-mounted refill cap instead of the original method of having to completely unscrew the PCs in order to refill.
Heck, you could even opt to merge the PCs into a single one such that both nozzles experience equal pressurization.

and yes, if I were making it have one PC, I would have to replace the threads on the soaker and I could make it look like a bazooka with 2 barrels
As for experience with PVC connections, I have none, but I could easily just put a 90 degree elbow facing upwards that I just have to pop on and off.

Ah, the XX 175. I remember a good 10 years ago when I was only six years old and my mother took me to Toys R Us to buy me this. It was my first watergun. The good times :) Heck, I even think I have this in my messy closet which is only 3 feet away from me where I'm typing.

Do you ever use it? because if not, I would appreciate a tank from it. Since mine is missing one, it is kind of odd. When you pump it, water goes out of one tank and into the other, so it wont work if you only have one tank, unless you modify it so it only draws from one tank
