My CPS 1700's .... Ok I'm not sure what you call it, the end wheere you put the pump into has snapped. Look at the pics. Ok I added epoxy (2 stars for plastic). Will this hold??

Epoxy should be ok, but you need to be sure not to get too much epoxy on the inside of the tubing, otherwise you won't be able to get the pump piston back in. That area for normal use shouldn't experience too much stress (how did it break? was the soaker dropped?)

If that is the only place where the pump shaft is cracked, it shouldn't affect your CPS 1500's ability to pump. You might lose a little bit of pump volume, but otherwise have a functioning soaker.

Let us know how your repair goes.

Ok thanks. By the way is 2 star for plastic good enough? Yeah I made sure not to get it on the inside of it. I have no idea how it happened I was pumping and all of a sudden it just come out of its hole, not only that I lost the game for us because of that :(. I'll let you know how it goes by tommorrow.

I'm a crazy-glue and/or epoxy user, personally, for sealing pieces of plastic together. I'm not sure what "2 star" means, but as I said earlier, that area shouldn't feel too mcuh stress normally (I don't know of any other cases of CPS1700 breaking at that point unless they've been dropped).

Good luck in fixing the pump!

Me: didn't do much to help. However, glad your CPS1700 is fixed!

Would you mind if I used the pic and info you posted in here about your repair on an iSoaker.com Repair page?

Nevermind... It held for awhile but slowly gave away. Is there anything stronger than epoxy? How much is a plastic welder?
