Hey guys, first post here.
I've opened my 2500 up because I am losing pressure after pumping and I have a leak coming from between the stock and the resivour.
Both of these things are caused by the rubber PC not being 100% sealed to the black plastic end cap (which also forms the reading on the pressure guage) There is a clamp-type set up going on in there, is it as simple as re-tightening the clamp? Maybe even gluing? It's a bit fiddely to access thats all.
Oh, I cut open the PC casing to find this out...
I could take photos to help explain, but I would need to send them to somone as I have no way of hosting pics. (the photos will be in the next few days, I dont have my USB cable with me - silly me)
Thanks, Simmo

I can host the images for you if you email them to be (see the Submissions page on iSoaker.com for email address).
As for the leak problem, well, it really depends why it is leaking. If a simple tightening can seal it, you're lucky. However, due to the age of the soaker, there is a greater chance that there may be a tear in the CPS-rubber. If there's a tear, trying to repair it becomes a lot trickier (as far as I know, no one has actually ever posted a successful repair on a ripped CPS chamber). Of course, it all depends on where the leak is from and how bad it looks. Even if it is a tear in the CPS rubber, if it's in a part that does not really experience any expansion when pressurizing the chamber, you may be able to simply reseal it with rubber cement (plus I'd add on a thin outer layer sort of like a tire patch to stabilize the seal).
In terms of tightening the CPS-holder clamp, based on what I've seen on open blasters, it is unlikely (though not necessarily impossible) that the clamp got loose. In all the open blasters I've seen, that clamp is already at its maximum tightness and often reinforced closed with glue.
At any rate, since you've gotten things open, try to find the source of the leak. Send pics if you can. We'll do what we can to offer advice! Good luck!

After a little more fishing around I got the outer 'end cap' - I suppose you could call it - off. This was hard as it was all glued together. I hack-sawed it off but kept the casing and it will all go back together nicely with some glue.
I found my leak. At the very end of the rubber bladder there is a plug. I figure if I seal the end, I will have no leak, using silicone or similar...
Yesterday I was cruising around on the forums and I read a guy saying "I threw out my 2500 because it leaked" I think I know how you could have fixed it :;):
i.soaker you were spot on with your clamp analysis and I'm very thankful there was no tears in the rubber.
I could email some pictures to host/post so there is a known fix for a CPS 2500 leak.
Thanks mate. Simmo

Sounds like you've found the problem and I hope your repair goes smoothly. Thing is, repairing CPS-chambers is a little trickier simply since the repair must be able to withstand the changes of size and shape the CPS-chambers goes through when being filled and depressurizing.
If you'd be willing to take some pics and write up your experiences and recommendations on how to repair the problem you had with your CPS2500, I'd be more than happy to push it onto iSoaker.com so that others who may have similar problems may get ideas on how they can fix it as well.
