Hi Everyone, I wanted to provide you with a general update. After being unseasonably cool and in the 70s much of last week it is projected to be pretty hot, just like last year.

Friday 95/65
Saturday 91/68

Hopefully this will change, but if it doesn't then we need some sort of plan. Our high for today was in the low/mid 90s, so assuming the weekend is similar to today temperature drops to 84 by 5 PM, 78 by 8 PM, and 74 by 10 PM. Morning temperatures are 66 at 6 AM, 68 by 8 AM, and then 82 by noon. Based off this the morning is definitely cooler, but we aren't very good at getting up early if we're being honest. How interested would you be in focusing the fighting on maybe 5 PM to 10 PM Saturday night? On Saturday each team could strategize and we could even possibly work on defensive fortifications or other odds and ends that we really have never done before.

Sunset 8:19 PM
Civil Twilight: 8:48 PM
Nautical Twilight: 9:24 PM (no sunlight at all)

Please let me know what you think, and also let me know what time you plan on being here on Friday. Thank you.

Getting up early basically means going to bed early, which is also dependant on what time people get there Friday.

I would be OK fighting in the late afternoon/evening, hydrated or not, I don't handle the heat well (stuck a bunch of ice under my hat last war, might see if I can carry a bunch in a thurmous this time). It is also kinda hard to hydrate well the day before when you are driving 6+ hours.

And for weapons, what counts as light CPS, Flash Floods? Because even the Vindicator is on the line between light and medium. Also anyone have a working Collossus? If I have to use a non-CPS that is my favorite, but I'm not 100% sure I'll get around to fixing any of mine.

Oh and last I heard, I am giving David, Rob, and maybe Keith a ride down.

Update: so I've heard from David and he is coming. Rob is thinking of backing out due to weather concerns, and Keith said he would let me know in the next day or so.

In honor of this weekend here is the video from last year https://youtu.be/HfT5AHvnGiQ

It's going to be in the 70s in the evening and we can hang out during the day.

Grr, so last I talked to Rob he is not sure if he wants to come due to the weather. Keith might still make it but probably not. And David is bailing because he got asked to do babysitting and needs the money.

Still waiting to hear back from my cousin, but it might just be me coming down.

So both Rob and David aren't coming now, and I wasn't able to get anyone local, so it will just be me.

Is this thing still on? How many people are coming? It's a long trip with sub-par weather if we are only going to have like 5 people
