I'm open to it, but the only times that I'm back on the east coast are the weekends of December 22nd and December 29th (weather permitting).

Let's see, here are the weekends when I probably won't be available:

-All of September
-October 13th and 27th
-November 3rd

Holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas are most likely off the table too. There's a good chance other stuff might come up as well. What did y'all have in mind? Since it seems like nobody's interested in continuing the League, I would do something totally out of the ordinary.

I am available from the 2nd weekend in December onward, not much in November unfortunately.

I am free from November 21st until January 7th. I would definitely consider carpooling to North Carolina if there was a large enough turnout for a war there.

We will have the war either December 22 or December 29th. Nick and his new wife are staying with us on the weekend of the 15th, and November is too soon to get everyone involved.

I have a lot of locals that plan on coming, so someone please coordinate transportation with Alfatrooper

Well I don't have anything planned right now for that second weekend. The one right before x-mass is when my great aunt is having her holiday party. That party is often the only time I get to see a lot of my mom's relatives, so I'd rather not miss it.

Yes that would be fine, glad to see you back on here again! So other than David, how many people am I going to be giving a ride to? I am thinking of inviting a local friend or two but more than 4 people wouldn't be very comfortable on a long car ride. Though one of the friends I plan to invite has his own car, so it might work out.

So marauder I assume the plan is for us to stay in the barn again? Depending on how many people are coming I can bring a two person tent if needed.

I'm still able to come, but I'd definitely need a ride from DC, Scott.

I'd hope we're not staying in the barn with this weather (just had the coldest November in 117 years), but then again, I have no idea what the weather is down there.

OK DX, I can take you. Your friend Zack just texted me asking for a ride too. So with David as well, unless people are OK with having three in the rear seat, I probably can't take any more. Still need to contact one of my local friends though, since if he can come, he could drive others too.

We are hosting the battle at a new site. Danny actually discovered it. We will have photos this weekend, so stay tuned.

Lodging will not be at the barn. Wi-Fi and hot water will be available this time. The new battle site is an easy walk from the new lodging, so if you are worried about a rough hike don't worry, this will be easier to get to.

I am going to switch things around and we will not be playing OHS all day long. Long OHS was great for the past 2 years at Little Creek, but I think it is time to mix it up. We will be playing a variety of battles, similar to how we used to do.

Please let me know if you have any suggestions as far as gameplay goes.

I am thinking of bringing back assassinate VIP, CTF, and OHK. We will also be mixing teams up and mixing up concepts. You will probably see me and Rob team up with one of our less experienced players vs a much larger team. There may even be new games. I have been brainstorming some ideas that mashup manhunt and ohk.

Did we finalize the date and times? I need to know ASAP so I can buy bus tickets before the price goes up.

Your riding down with me, right DX? If so did you want to try and go thrifting? The Thursday before the war would probably be best. IDK if the stores will even be open Monday, but it is always 50% off when they are open on a holiday, so there is a crazy amount of crowds. Even if you stayed until after New I start work again Wednesday.

Saturday the 29th and Sunday the 30th. We can do Friday if people show up early enough as the battlefield looks like it would be good for night wars and since it is walking distance from the nephews'.

There are 3 main areas of the battlefield - open pine forest with pond & trails, mixed pine and hardwood forest with trail, and floodplain which is similar to Little Creek but not as dense. For some reason it reminds me of Paine without the rocks or the hills, which I know... sounds like it wouldn't be like Paine at all but just check it out and you will probably see what I mean. The trails are used by Danny's cross country team, so if you have him on your team you have a real advantage in orienteering and getting around.

This will be more of a traditional war due to requests by a few members. That means we will mostly have half hour rounds with mixed game types. Don't assume that we won't throw hardcore elements into this though as we very well may bring back 1hk, chaos, and some intense CTF.

I thought the exact same thing when looking at the photos. It reminds me of Paine, what with the pond and some of the terrain. I approve.

But I will be out of state on the 29th, so attending isn't really an option for me unfortunately. Have fun and don't forget to take pictures!

Also, wi-fi and hot water? What in tarnation?

I was thinking about arriving in DC on Thursday night. We'd thrift on Fri morning before heading down to NC. I'd then leave DC either Mon evening or Tues depending on which is worse for arriving in NY on a major holiday lol. What do you think about this plan?

Main thing is my friend's New Year's party on Monday night, you are welcome to stay till Tuesday, but I wont be around then.

Thrifting Friday morning sounds good, we wouldn't have time to do the whole loop, but the first 5-6 stores are usually the best for finding stuff anyway. Since you are mostly after Nerf, we could probably even skip the first 2 as they will almost certainty not have any.
