New team in Vermont - Recruitment Notice
I am looking for water warriors. I hope to assemble two teams, armed with Super Soakers, for regular battles. I am looking for anyone between ages 8-16 who is interested. Once you have joined, you can stay as long as you want and over the age limit, as long as your Leader/General doesn't eject you. No past experience required, but veterans are welcome. These battles will be held on a mountain in West Topsham, Vermont.
The terrain is heavily forested with some areas of open field and the fight zone is about seven acres. There is a tree house at one end of the battle area and a base on the other side that is more spread out, with multiple layers of walls, defenses and a gun-tower. If you can, bring your own water gun, but there is a limited armory of guns that could be temporarily used during the battle by those without a weapon of their own. The battles will most likely last for many hours and will probably have a variety of different game-play styles. (e.g. Capture the Flag, One hit kills, Siege, ect)
My armory isn't very big at the moment, but it suits me: 1 CPS 1000 (my best main gun) 2 WW Lightnings (using one as a heavy backup gun), 1 Flash Flood (Back up/Sidearm), 2 MD 6000, 1 homemade gun of my own design (nearing completion) and a Douchenator WBL.
A small, Unregistered team of four people, called the "Knights of the Out House" has already contacted me and would like to meet. If you are interested in joining, please e-mail me.

So, any questions?

Welcome to Isoaker forums. We hope you enjoy your stay.
It generally doesn't sit well with us when someone shows up and advertises a war in their first post, describing a secluded place and specifically requested young teens and preteens. Please elucidate further upon your teams, armory, and other details of your war.
I hope you can understand our concern. Thank you.

“To achieve a World Government it is necessary to remove from their minds their individualism, their loyalty to family traditions, national patriotism and religious dogma.”…..Brock Adams, Director, United Nations Health Organisation.
In advance, sorry about the double-post.
The plans are being finalized and it looks like the first battle is going to take place this coming soon. A total of eight people with a bonfire/cookout afterwards.
If its a good fight, I'll post a war story about it. It seems like Isoaker needs some new ones.

Sounds like a lot of fun. If the temperature up there in Vermont is anything like it is here in Connecticut, then a soaker war will be a welcome relief for everyone.
And nothing, and I mean nothing, tops off a water war than a bonfire/barbecue afterwards.
Please don't hesitate to post a war story, if you write one up.

Try to get pictures if you can--I'd really like to see that battlefield, and I'm sure others would too.
Fortunately, the heat wave is supposed to be leaving right now. The strange thing is that it isn't that much hotter here than it might be at some times--it has just been here for a long time. However, the heat still kills you--it's nearly impossible for me to run or even stay outside in this weather.
Anyway, good luck in the water war!

For the 3rd day in a row, Ridgewood beat Phoenix in heat. Yay for the storms, as I am rather tired of 100 degrees and 110 heat indices. The funny thing is that locally, we actually avoid wars when it is hot out. When it is hot, the scores are lower, the running is slower, and there is less action. Weird, eh?
Good luck with your war. Post a report and/or pictures!

Its not too hot up here in the mountains. About in the high 80s to low 90s at the hottest parts of the day. The real problem is when its humid. Then its much worse because your sweat doesn't evaporate and you end up hotter after you sweat instead of cooler. But its looking like its going to be perfect conditions this weekend.
I'll see what I can do about pics.
If the battle is half-decent, then I'll try to get a war-story written up as soon as I can.
Wish me luck on this upcoming battle.
Soak-on ya'll.

It's always humid here--and today's high weather forecast put Virginia as the hottest state in the East Coast. The cold front went farther north...
I can see why things get literally "sluggish" on hot days. I myself would be happy to settle up North, since I lose all my energy when it gets hot. At least the weather is somewhat temperate and the political climate is decidedly liberal...
I certainly do wish you luck in this battle. Anyway, you'll have more luck recruiting water warriors at the local level than from the online forums; with the exception being the Northeastern Regional [Water] War.

I'm planning to start putting up posters soon. But I did get all the people I've gotten so far from online discussion. I'f I am just as successful with posters as I have been with online recruiting, I could easily have at least 8 people per team by this time next year. (Currently its at four people per team)

You should be able to grow faster than 8 a year. The Ridgewood Militia alone went from 11 members to 23 in a mere 2 weeks, with no advertising except word-of-mouth. Try getting your friends involved, which builds up memebrship swiftly.

The battle was great, I'm still feeling the hype from it. Unfortunately though, two out of the six people didn't show for currently unknown reasons, but the fight was good all the same. I've got a war story in the making and should have it ready this coming week.
