If any one does make any patches/ shirts/other items to give out at the battle. Make sure they are water proof, isoaker there was a little problem with that on your goblins in the 2011 war, the ink on those isoaker.com labels ran when they got wet.

Although I will not be able to come/bring my cousins for 2012 I have good news for 2013 and the future. Tiffany said it'd be a lot of fun to come and her oldest nephews love watergun fights and want to come, and by that time, my cousins will be old enough to drive themselves if I can't take them. I could easily bring 5 people for 2013. Y'all just gotta keep it goin while I'm gone =P

I will see if I can bring a couple people this year, no promises though. Honestly though I think we should head back to the 2012 community summer war thread and figure out dates, because like SEAL said, he needs to make reservations. Still not sure how regular I will be able to get posts in, but I will be back Thursday.

I also have good news; for next year, I may be able to bring at least 6 additional people, possibly more. I can't promise anything, but I will try my best to get as many people as possible next year. And yes, figuring out dates would be a good idea if we want to reserve the pavilion and have night wars, but since that will probably be hard for most people, we could always hold the war at Onteora Lake (I still have to check out the terrain...), where you can camp out without a reservation (And have naval battles, assuming we can get enough boats.), but we won't have a pavilion or anywhere else to set everything up.

I can always bring that portable pavilion I have again. I actually have two of them, but I might need a bigger car to bring both. I would kind of like to reserve Dug Hill again if we can, get the pavilion and such, so we have got to talk about dates.

I can't make it August 2nd-5th (my LEGO Con.) but other then that I have no plans the whole summer (so far). We keep talking about we need to find a date so I'm throwing one out there. How about the weekend of August 18th and 19th, it would be about the same time as last time. Would this work for every one?

It could be too school for some (namely me). Early to Mid July would be nice, for the slightly cooler weather more than anything.

Right, it doesn't have to always be August. June or July would work too. Maybe we should set up one of those Doodle calendar things. Like last year, I'll make time for it; I shouldn't be too busy.

I guess we could do that. I'm not sure if I used that last year though, I think I found it confusing, but I don't remember for sure. Why don't you go ahead and set that up just so we have the option.

But first lets decide where it is going to be, my vote is for Dug Hill again, so unless we have another good location all ready to go, I'd say we have it there so at least we have something planed, then we can focus on talking dates.

So what does every one say to that?

My vote goes to Dug Hill if we can get a reservation. If not, then I suppose Onteora Lake, but I want to first see if the terrain is any good. Of course, I'd really love to have it at the place we faught at today (You'll see in the movies.), but that would be too difficult.

I don't really know how to set up a Doodle calendar, but I can look into it. Edit: I can't figure out how to make the same kind of calendar that we had last time. Someone else should do this...

I vote for Dug Hill again, as it was awesome. Although, if we can find another venue in the area, it could change things up for a few rounds. Seeing how the war was very mobile, addon venues could easily be done. I'm really liking a park I found this morning along the Hudson and took pictures for a fictional war story.

Brandon, I'm looking at the weather forecast for this week and hating it. West Hurley is so much colder than Conn. Would you be free on Saturday or Sunday when the temp is forecast to be in the 40s? Thursday is also a tolerable, but less appealing temp. Friday is the same as Thursday, but I work this Friday.

Yeah, I'll be around for the rest of this week. I don't care if it's Saturday or Sunday; whichever you want. I guess we'll meet at Onteora Lake?

Even if we don't use Onteora Lake for the main event, we could still have a naval war there.

Either of the weekend days will work, I'll decide when they get a bit closer. We'd meet at the lake, provided that I can find it again.

Oh, I won't be able to check in here on Friday, so it'd be good if you gave me a time before then. Like I said, either of the weekend days will work, at any time of day, as long as it's not too early/late. If you want directions to the lake, I can supply them.

Who set up the Doodle calendar last time? Whoever it was should set up another one for this year; I can't figure out how.

Looking at the weather, Saturday looks like the best and I've managed to reserve it. It would probably be some time in the late morning like 10 AM-noon in order to leave enough daylight to adequately explore. Like M4, I need to know every rock and tree, haha. If there's any other places you'd like to hit, it would be a good time to also see them.

Alright, Saturday at 10 AM sounds good. The public land around the lake is huge though, so I doubt we could explore all of it. The only other places I can think of are a bit of a drive from the lake; maybe 15-20 minutes. But we can discuss that when the time comes.

I'll also try to bring a camera to get pictures of the terrain for everyone to see, and CA99 can use them for his game if he wishes.

Actually, I might have to work on Saturday after all. I'm unsure about the timing of that, so this will probably have to be Sunday at 10. I have your number so I can text you any changes.

Never mind; I can check in today.
Sunday is fine, but I left my cell phone at my grandparents' house, so just send me a PM if there are any changes (The phone doesn't accept text messages anyway.).

I got out of having to work on Saturday. So, tomorrow at 10 it is. Your phones can't handle texts? Man, you've got to go to whoever pays the bills and tell them that it's the 21st century and actually making calls on a phone is so 1990s. That, and text msgs are often more useful than calling, especially in bad coverage areas. Texts often go through when calls would be dropped. If someone has concerns about overcharges tell them, A you're a guy...and B there's no way normal people manage to exceed their monthly quota anyway. I don't even come close to the lowest plan amount, and I have a grandfathered unlimited plan.

I will also bring a 1200 for you. Do you care what mark it is? I hope not because I can't really tell without trying to open them and I don't have time to go through all 6 or whatever I have down there. One of them has 80 balloons on it and isn't marked so I forgot which...if you get a 1200 that happens to shoot further than a CPS 2000...you got lucky.

I first saw DX's post at around 10:30 this morning, and I was like "Holy shit!", and got my mom to dash us over to the lake as fast as possible. When I finally got there, we hiked in a ways, and we actually found some pretty awesome places. There are two lakes there, and one of them would be perfect for a naval war in my opinion. We also checked out the land across from Dug Hill (Okay, West Hurley Park.), and found the stream. That place was pretty cool too, with like a giant version of Thunder Gulch (We were thinking about calling it The Valley of Death. :goofy: ).

DX took a ton of pictures, so he'll probably upload them onto here soon.

Well, the phone isn't really mine, we all use it (But rarely.). I think the phone can handle texts, but my parents disabled the feature for some reason that I forgot.
