Soaker Combos

Post by isoaker » Fri Apr 15, 2005 7:52 am

What soakers do you like using together (i.e. dual CPS Splashzookas, Flash Flood + TripleShot, XP310 + XP220, Blazer + Hydra Pak, dual XP215s, etc.)?

Do you have different soaker combo preferences for different soaking occasions?

List your preferred combos and, if you can, let us know why you like a particular soaker mix.

I like to dual-wield.(Are we getting Master Chiefish?:D )

My favorite combination might be 2 Max-D 3000's, or a XP 240 and an XP-70

Mine could be an SC Power Pak and a CPS 1500. :goofy:

I'm going to try and double-yeild two 2700s, but I might just use a 2700 and 1700.

Back in the day I prefered to dual weild Queen Amidala pistols. I can't now because A.One's broken and B.It's just not cool. I do use a Queen for holdout occasionally though.

My favorite combos are Storm 750s in each hand or my Storm 1200 in my left hand, Storm 800 in my right. The 800 is light enough I can aim with medium accuracy one handed, the 1200 has enough capacity that I can do a little spray and pray with my off hand and not be set back much.

My newly repaired monster and an aquapack Devastator with either two xp220s or two liquidators as last resort sidearms.

Rather like Crashdummy, my current plan is to have a CPS 4100 and an Aquapack Devastator as a backup. I haven't actually tried it out in a skirmish yet, but it is very comfortable to move around and even sprint in.

edit: Trekkie, are you really goin to try to duel wield two 2700s? That sounds like it would be very heavy. You must have very strong wrists.

If you put the straps over your neck, your neck will support the majority of the weight and all you'll need to do with your hands is fire and pump.

A 3200 and a medium rifle is a good combo. You can always transition to the shotgun when the situation warrants heavier power or you run out.

I'm going to try it, but I doubt I'll have very good luck. It would be fun, though...

My favorite combo is Dual MAX-D-3000's, great power and range in a small size, you can take on a CPS 2100 with this combo my second favorite is a XP 70 and XP 270.

CPS 2500 and CPS 2100[0]. That is, when I get my 21Ks fixed. If they aren't fixed in time for a war, then I would have to resort to my CPS 4100 or CPS 3200 as the 2nd weapon.

I have found the most useful combo to be a CPS 2000 and a backpack full of extra water =D !!! Haha. I used that in Vermin wars 5-7.
Alot of times extra guns add more bulk and mess up your agility, although sometimes they don't. Let's see what combos I've used...

Vermin War I: Speed Loader 1500, SS 30, squirt pistol
Vermin War II: CPS 1700, XP 105, SS 30, 50 waterballoons, 5 flower bombs, a squirt pistol, and 2 2 liter bottles to refil my CPS 1700. Believe it or not I used all of this in the war. This was back when we had soakfests though and not 1 hit kills battles.
Vermin War III: CPS 3200 and SS 40. I've used this on other occasions too, it worked pretty well.
Vermin War IV: lots of different guns.
Vermin War V: CPS 2000 extra water
Vermin War VI: CPS 2000 extra water
Vermin War VII: CPS 2000 extra water
Vermin War VIII: CPS 2100 and extra water in a backpack.
Vermin War IX: CPS 1500 and extra water in a backpack.
Vermin War X: CPS 4100, SS 40

Dominator War II: CPS 1000, XP 150, SS 30.

I've never used a combo in my last three seasons and I am pretty confident I would be using one this season.

that sounds like a good combo. i'll have to try it if i ever play in a big war.

usually i just use either my 1500 or my 2700 as my main rifle and dual-weild xp220's for sidearms.

I had a 2100 in each hand today while swimming. It was pretty cool but something like 1200's would have been better with the straps. Coming from under water those guns are h-e-a-v-y with water in every nook and cranny. I've doubled up with 2700's before, each with the nozzle selector removed. Talk about a wipeout.

I suppose my favorite combination would be something big with big capacity, a 2700 or 3200, as the main gun, the SC600 for sidearm, and a Monster X.
