Which soaker do you think would be the best to dispense with annoying cats that enter our garden? We'd like something VERY powerful and also be able to reach cats from a fair distance.

Any help will be gratefully appreciated!

Although I believe shooting animals is cruel the CPS 2000 would be extremely effective.

That has such a short shot time it would be much less than effective. The bad thing about riot blasts and large output blasts is that if someone dodges it then you just wasted 20 or more pumps.

For a current gun I'd recommend the Water Warriors Blazer or Lightning, or Pirhana. Long shot times are a must here, output isn't really that much needed (once it's enough to make the cat move), and all those guns have good range as well. They also are constant pressure, another plus because you won't have to move in as your range decreases.

Yes, but if you hit the cat from behind then the power of the blast would make sure it won't come back.

You don't need something that powerful... or rare and costly. If you can hit it in the split second shot time, then it might be for you. But myself and others can't, and I'd rather NOT buy an over $100 CPS 2000 just for shooting cats. If you were that serious about power you'd get a homemade anyway. With a riotblast you'll scare it so much it'll run away and you'll never find it again...

If you are going to put price into it then water balloons would be much cheaper. They have good range and you wouldn't even have to hit the cat to scare it away.

Uh, if you want to do that, you're in the wrong set of forums.

These are a set of water warfare forums, but I'll accept the limited use of water guns/blasters for some limited non-water warfare uses (i.e. pest deterrent). However, if you're planning on harming an animal, you are in the wrong place and shall be pointed elsewhere.

Oops, went too far there. No seriously, I've a Super Charger 600 at the moment that is great. I'm just new to the arena and I'm not sure how much better a soaker can be. If there's something that is more powerful than that then I'd be interested, from both a technical and soaking point of view.

I tend to shoot intruder animals with my airsoft, but if an animal comes in my yard during a waterfight, I tend to prefer to use my CPS-1700.

-Apart from that-

Welcome to the boards, Gog yn ydlkd.... um.... nevermind. :oo:

an airsoft? i think that kinda falls under the category of "animal cruelty" :(
anyway, ognnkdlknd, i think a medium CPS gun like a CPS 1500, 1700, 1200, or 1000 would be good. i would have to strongly disagree with the use of anything like a 2000, 4100, 3000, or 2700 for shooting cats, because again, ANIMAL CRUELTY!

P.S. why not just get a fence? :D

Why don't you just shoo the cats away instead of harming them? They're just wittle kitties. Pragrow.

Well you're gonna hate me, cuz I shoot cats with my Marui Full Auto BB gun, but only when birds are nesting near by. I also hate it cuz it tried to eat my elderly(now deceased) cockatiel when she was sat on a tree sunbathing, so I paste it when I can. Evil fucking cat. My dad used to use air rifle cleaning pellets. ehehehe

Due to my diaproval of creulty to domestic animals, I suggest that you merely use the spray nozzle of CPS/Monster soakers that have that selection. If you don't have such a choice, use the spray of a garden house. Just don't use a stinging stream on cats.

i think you may have... issues... :oo:
do you shoot your cats or just cats wandering around?
anyways, jklknlknjkfdhgk, maybe a blazer would be good. or just get a hose sprayer and shoot them with a spray(not a blast)

or just get a fence.

P.S. are you allowed to say the "f" word?
P.S.S. i have no clue what a mauri full auto BB gun is(other than a bb gun) so don't try to brag... ???
P.S.S.S. why wasnt your cockatoo in a cage?

Super Soaker releases non-powerful blasters for a reason. They put on warning labels for a reason. If your intent is to shoot defenseless animals, its called animal cruelty, and you do not belong here. Cats are wonderful creatures, and shouldn't be harmed UNLESS they are biting your head off. ( havnt used this emoticon in a while)

Come on! :goofy: You guys think that airsofts hurt cats? Lets put it this way, they have a fur coat. It's not going to cause any injuries. A soaker on the other hand would be much more traumatic.
