As I said before, taking a video would be an accurate way to measure the time it takes for a stream to travel a set distance. Just count how many frames it takes for the stream to exit the nozzle to the point of impact, then divide by however many frames/sec the camera takes. EDIT: Whoops, didn't r...

This isn't to say that some soakers don't have faster streams. Many soakers have faster stream than others, but these faster streams translate into greater ranges (unless dealing with poor stream cohesion; in that case I'd accept that a stream may exit faster, initially moving faster than a typical...

Unfortunately I don't have access to a Blazer anymore so I can't really compare the two at the moment. However, my CPS 1000 always seemed to shoot about 4-5 feet further than the Blazer, yet the 1000's stream is also more spread out by the time it hit the ground. Also in battle, I noticed that oppo...

I never really liked the Blazer. Sure, it may shoot 40 feet, (the one I tried only made 35) but what good is that if it takes ages for the stream to get there? The CPS 1000 is far better in my opinion.

The main problem behind Max-D triggers is that the ball valve inside loses lubrication, and therefore the spring just isn't powerful enough to pull it closed anymore. I have found that spraying silicon spray down the nozzle onto the valve fixes this problem, however it might only works on guns that...

Have a look at This Page. As you can see, actual proof that the Mk.1's PC is thicker than the Mk.2's.

You could also try replacing the o-ring with a new one. I find that doing that always gets a better seal than the stock one, and yet slides a lot easier too.

Great review, looks like the new Krypton is a huge improvement over the old one. Just a couple of questions about it though: How many pre-charge pumps does it take, and does the pump 'lag' at all? I noticed that all of the '05 prechargers did this (and quite badly).

Just got in the mail a Speed Loader Powersurge 1100, the successor to the original SL1000 pistol. It's powerful, and gives a good kick when fired. Actually a little too powerful, as my hose now refuses to fill it! Admittedly, our hose isn't very high-pressure, but my SL1500 has little trouble filli...

One area where the Krypton beats the Blazer is in stream pressure. The Blazer's streams feel a bit weak, and move kind of slowly, but the Krypton's streams move quite fast and have a lot more power to them. At least, that's how it was on my '05 Krypton, don't know if it's the same for this year's v...

Me, I'd be happy enough with another gun like the 1000, but with a few changes. Give it the same strength rubber as the original, but with the design improvements that have come in over the years (conical nozzles, ball valve triggers etc.). I reckon it'd shoot 50-55 feet easily without being danger...

Only 40 inches? That's really bad. :( Um, he made a typo. It's supposed to be 40 feet. Judging by what's being said about the 2006 Krypton, I might get one. One interesting thing to note is that the original version took 13 pumps to precharge, yet the new version with half the pump volume also take...

Mine is a CPS 1200, bought online for only 9 bucks. Thing was though, it still had pressure in it when it arrived! The PC was around half full, and I'd say it'd been like that for at least a week, but the suprising thing is that it still shoots around 40 feet. Perhaps the rubber is more durable tha...

I'm pretty sure the '06 Krypton is going to use a 1/2" pump this year, like the Argon and Xenon, so the pumping difficulty should be around the same as those (which isn't very difficult). I agree with isoaker, with an easier pump it will make a great gun. A 200ml PC may be small, but don't forget t...

The stream speed is realy powerful, the blast is like a garden hose and goes at about the speed of it too, its very fast and violent.

Awesome. Sounds like a homemade. :D
It looks like a great gun, and if it's that impressive now, think how amazing it would have been back in '93.

When Water Warriors measure the capacity on their blasters, they count the total amount it can hold (main tank and pressure chamber). So you'd get 94oz if you overloaded it.

I think it looks great. One question though, does the pump automatically activate when you shoot or is there some kind of switch or button to activate it?

Yeah, Hydro Power is just a rubber disk that is clamped in between two pieces of plastic. And Hannibal, the Piranha that they sell on there is the 2005 version, the one with increased nozzle sizes and a strap.
