1. Get a Gatorade bottle, or something similar. Unscrew the cap. 2. Cut off and toss away the bottom two-thirds of the bottle. 3. Cut a hole about 1/2" in diameter in the cap. 4. Get a 1/2" vinyl hose tube. 5. Epoxy the tube into or on the hole in the cap. 6. Get some trashbags. 7. Slide the remain...

Plus you'd really lose the CPS. The rubber sheet mod looks more promising though, and I might try doing that, as the gun feels a bit underpowered. I'm considering ways to improve or change the nozzle selector. After some eyeballing, it looks like the CPS 4100 and the Orca have similarly-sized selec...

No, I think they were just trying to open the guns to look for something to mod. However, due to liability, the manufacturer makes the water guns difficult to open.

EDIT: If you're interested in mods, I'd advise reading the articles at sscentral.org.

Nobody in my family drinks soda except at parties out of the house, so it's just a coincidence we have a 2L Diet Pepsi here. Wonder why. In the bottle (Pepsi, not Coke), there's a tiny "hole" inside the large nub. If the drill bit is the size of the hole, it's a little bit but probably okay. If it'...

I dunno, Big Bee said that was his favorite part of the blaster, and more importantly, why else would you put the cap at the bottom of the reservoir? :oo: Good thinking with covering the hole, though. I'm thinking if there was a plug you could use, you could also turn on the the noise if you wanted...

Oh wait a minute...you're right, it will leak a little when filling. Not too much, especially if you use a small drill bit (well, if you can use a pin, that would work), but still... You could drill the hole in the upper back part, and fill with the gun pointing down. But that would be difficult, a...

The MD5K is a pressurized reservoir gun - you pump air into the reservoir, which serves as the pressure chamber. The gun probably has a check valve that lets air into the pump tube only, but not out; and another that lets air into the reservoir, but not out. I'm thinking there might be a crack in t...

Nice review! I agree though, Hasbro and Super Soaker are out. I don't think it's worth it either to bother fastening the intake tube. But it shouldn't be too hard - get a coat hanger or something to pull the tube up, and then try to duct tape it. Applying the duct tape might be a problem though. I ...

Yup, it does contradict my name. I actually don't really mind the sound. I did some more testing - in daylight. The streams all have fairly poor lamination. Range is better than most guns, but I know it could be better. Currently, if you aim at an angle with the smaller streams (which have the best...

Yeah, you'll have to be a bit more specific. If the water's just exiting randomly, you'll have to open the soaker. Then, pump and see where the leaks are if that's the problem.

TRU, Wal*Mart, and Target had no good guns. Just some Secret Strikes, Arctic Shocks, and the other blue-and-green gun. K-Mart, however, had the Orca, the TS, the Tarantula, and a ton of guns from another manufacturer. Finding the TS grip too small for my hand, I got the Orca. I'm impressed. I'd rat...

Yeah, it's been seen. And if I'm not mistaken, I believe somebody also got one. The gun isn't as good as it seems though, as it's underpowered for its weight. Balancing issues also exist.

Wow...glue and a pin...ingenious! My idea was to cut out a circle containing the cap and a circle from the top, then switch and glue... Perhaps the intake tube could be duck taped to the bottom of the reservoir, right next to the cap. I really don't see why they keep on making fan blasts. A...

Yeah, Nerf is a different hobby altogether, and I'm not really into it. And while the Nerf company (which created the sport) is doing well, the fact is that BBT has challenged an old monopoly there too.

Definitely get an Orca or Tiger Shark. The blasters are well worth the money, and they should have decent availability.

Yep, get either the Orca or the Tiger Shark. If I see one, I'll get one, but I haven't decided yet which one it'll be. BBT has really created a new age for stock soakers. Nobody needs to worry about getting CPS-line guns if BBT keeps improving like this. BBT is also seeing the results of creating g...

Welcome to the iSoaker.com forums! As far as I can tell, the only real difference besides the appearance (color) is the reservoir cap. The MI Flash Flood's reservoir cap allows you to connect the MI Aquapack - essentially just a small backpack. All MI-series blasters are compatible with these backp...

Yep, nice one. But I was already mentally prepped for April Fool's day.
I realize this may come as a shock to many, but I feel most would realize this sort of thing was inevitable.

Awesome line.

Yeah, it's proven difficult to find others to fight with online.

Having a few soaker parties is generally success, as is forming a team that fights itself each time it meets. Good luck!

I've been in Sydney and Melbourne - I was in Australia for a few months. I liked NSW more though.

Well, open up the blasters if you can and see what's wrong. Super Soaker Central has some repair guides , although there are likely to be more soon. With the blaster open, check the whole trigger system. Make sure the trigger isn't snapped and see whether the pin in the trigger valve moves when you...
