Re: CHALLENGE: Need Gun w/ Small Stream/Nozzle but Rapid Re-Fill
Me while reading the post: "Please don't make me suggest a Super Soaker pleasedon'tmakemesuggestaSuperSoakerpleasedon'tpleasepleaseplease oh no I have to suggest a Super Soaker". Any of the new Super Soakers that have the refill canisters seem like they'd suit your purposes. You don't have to worry ...

Unrelated, but I assure you I'm working on fixing that with a homemadeI have a little less success in water wars because even the best pistol stand pretty much no chance against classic CPS gun

Re: Hydrocannon
Extending the pump stroke shouldn't be too difficult, a dremel along the sides would extend the groove that the track goes in, then a bit of snipping and filing along the bottom, then all that'd be left is finding a long enough pump for it (in my case, a WW Blazer happened to be sitting around). As ...

Re: Hydrocannon
With that out of the way... Croc and I have recently embarked on two projects, one being the homemade pull valve , and the other being a big time HydroCannon mod. I found this HC thrown out on bulk garbage day so I grabbed it, it turns out there's a problem with the check valves. So, looking through...

Re: Gorgon K-mod questions
Yeah, equal number of balloons in each pressure chamber. I should warn you though, balloons require so much maintenance. The Lightning in that topic is non-functional right now, I'm pretty sure it's because one of the balloons got sucked into the internals, plus there's a leak that prevents it from ...

Re: Gorgon K-mod questions
Fatalness, I was going to refer you to one of my threads on SSC, but I checked it out and you already posted there. Whatever, here it is anyway. The problem with the Gorgon is that it has two pressure chambers, so if you want to replace them, you need the two new PCs to be identical to one another (...

Well there goes the projectalthough I did decide to ditch the 24k gold case with inlaid diamonds
Anyway, I look forward to seeing this happen!

I'm working at a construction job, rain gets scary when you have $300 worth of drywall in the back of the pickup.
Otherwise, I'm in love with rainy weather (in moderation). Everything looks more epic in rain, that's a fundamental law of nature.

Re: Latest Soaker / Water Blaster
Just found a Hydrocannon with the neighbours' garbage at work, so I stole it. Based on a 2 second inspection, I'll assume there's a crack somewhere after the PC but before the ball valve. Half the screws are missing, the other half eroded and rusted. Updates to come as I take a look at it.

Re: Hands-On: Super Soaker 250
It depends on what you want the blaster for I guess. If you're trying to compete with the range of a 2k, then you'd better be able to match it, but if you want to make the most of other qualities, I'm sure it's doable. One of the nice things about heavyweight air pressure blasters is that they can g...

Re: Help For A Noob???
The 3-4 is priming, done before you put any water in, it lets you eek out an extra bit of power from your blaster. The 10-12 is after you've loaded it and it's just the pumping of water into the pressure tank. If you do prime it, you probably won't quite get 10-12 full pumps, just do as many as the ...

Re: Help For A Noob???
First of all, welcome to the forums and the hobby! Second, isoaker tends to discourage people from posting their locations, I don't know how he'd feel about the map. Third, atvan gave good advice, here's what I'll say to build on it: One thing that has always worked in my experience is to hide. It m...

Re: Hands-On: Super Soaker 250
New update, still lacking solid numbers but it looks like the shower nozzle gets a better range than the others. I'll hope to get around to doing a range test before the end of the summer.

Wait, wait, wait. I'm not even sure I trust this guy, 1990? The copyright is on the side, how do you mess that up? I was thinking of buying an MKII for Downpour, but if this is what the summer does to prices, forget it, I will wait. Besides, Rob has plenty of loaners! :goofy: Many LEGO sets could g...

Re: Is there anything better than the FlashFlood?
I've done it, it concentrates the stream a bit more so it doesn't spread out all over the place. Whether that sounds good or not is up to you.

Re: Is there anything better than the FlashFlood?
You can get a lot out of the main stream nozzle if you drilled it to a slightly larger diameter. It tends to get a reasonable range and will get people wet enough that you don't have to depend purely on the flood nozzle.

Re: (second) Best Air Pressure Gun?
I haven't shot it outdoors yet, but my 250 seems like it's significantly more powerful than a 6000, which makes sense given the PC size.
