Re: PC Replacement Mod - AP to CPS
There are lots of companies that sell LRT, but as far as I know, only McMaster-Carr sells it in varying sizes and not in bulk. The others either cost too much (because they're selling huge amounts), have too small a tubing diameter for our purposes, or too thin a wall for our purposes. That's as far...

Re: PC Replacement Mod - AP to CPS
I would go for the same amount as on SuperCPS. Just one tube of LRT tends not to get great results, doubling up is, from my experience, necessary if you want good performance. If you do intend on layering strips of LRT on top of one another, I'd recommend reading this , starting at JLSpaceMarine's f...

Re: Latest Soaker / Water Blaster
Yeah, Water Warriors loves rereleasing blasters with different nozzles. There was the '06 Lightning and Blazer, both with more variety than the originals, Gorgon this year, and I'm sure I'm forgetting a bunch.

Constant And Powerful Tank After Inspection Now Xactly Every Real XP Ever Sucks (in comparison)
But really, I'd go for Super-CPX (I was about to say XPS but that's a different mod)

Re: PC Replacement Mod - AP to CPS
In terms of volume, cylindrical takes up more space, but spherical will take up more space horizontally. Cylindrical can expand lengthwise a lot more, so the PCs won't necessarily interfere. Anyway, I don't have much to say, this did remind me that I can fix my Lightning since I've found my strip of...

Re: PC Replacement Mod - AP to CPS
It would be a terrific mod if you pull it off, but there are a number of hurdles you'd need to overcome. First, as you say, is the permanent nature of this kind of mod. Of course, you can build it in a reversible way, but that risks compromising the seal between each PC and the connectors. If you ha...

Just got my Monster X ('02 version), took about 2 combined hours of travelling to get it, but it was cheap and I don't lead a very eventful life, so very much worth it.

I've got leads on a cheap MX, I just need to plan it well (really, take a subway and I've got it).

Re: Hydrocannon
The PC is made up of about 40 balloons, which you can see in the earlier pictures. I haven't had any luck with balloons yet, having kinda broken my WW Lightning because of them, but I figured it'd be easier work on the HC.

In case anyone's interested, these are the last few pictures I've taken of the thing (I have since changed the ABS pipe to a smaller diameter pipe to get it to fit): http://i1172.photobucket.com/albums/r565/dudean_explorations/DSC03551.jpg And the case had to be modified as such: http://i1172.photob...

Not to mention would also be ridiculously expensive.isoaker wrote: Though, technically, the Original Super Soaker 50 has a longer reservoir/pressure chamber than the Classic version.

Re: Downpour 2012: A Full War Report From Your Soggy Host
I may be able to.
Main reason I couldn't go this year was because it was my birthday and my family+friends already had dibs on me that day. If I don't get shipped off to some remote part of the world because of work next summer, I may well be able to make it.

Just find a babysitter for your kid, take a few days off work, get a nurse for whoever needs a nurse, and make your way down! I solve so many problems!
Except really, I shouldn't be talking because I've yet to make one of these gatherings

Well, it means my (many) unsuccessful mods are also on display
And before anyone thinks I'm hijacking the thread, I replied to StewGregg's PM. Of course, I couldn't help, so if anyone has a spare pump handle, go ahead and offer it!

Re: THE SCREAMING VANQUISHER
I'm with SEAL, that's probably just the PRV kicking in, sometimes they get very loud and screechy. The Ultimate Vanquisher has a low pressure chamber volume, so it's perfectly believable that the PRV kicks in after a few pumps (iSoaker's stats suggest it would take 7 pumps, but all soakers are diffe...
