Re: How would you make a mini water balloon?
I have manged this before, tie a knot in the top of the balloon before filling, then tie the neck as usual. the top knot makes sure the water holding part is stretched enough to pop on impact

Re: Most Important Factors - if You Decided
in my battles i have found that "time to target" matters quite a bit and that range influences "time to target". This is from observation of fighting opponents roughly 9m away from me, at this point i can shoot basically flat with my CPS 1000 so my stream only travels the distance between us, at abo...

Re: Water Warriors Waterlord!
indeed it is just an big Lightning -good way to explain it. The PC is also larger than the Lighting's. So the Waterlord may be better suited to high output nozzle settings. Optimised i think you'd want the existing quad setting for spread and the existing larger stream setting for range, then drill ...

Re: Flash Flood pump cap problem
try using a flathead screw driver to gently pry the green part away from the silver. Take it slowly and vary the which side you pry to reduce stress on any one part of the plastic.

Re: Best gun to mod an Arctic Blast bladder into?
Also ideally you want a blaster that can fit the AB bladder without needing to remove the reservoir so you don't have to use a backpack (so the C2 isn't ideal) and without much shell cutting (if aesthetics bother you) Integrating it into your WW Hydra and adding a backpack reservoir could be interes...

Re: A Theory: Why The Colossus 2 Under-Performs And How To Fix It
The new parts hold pressure perfectly. As i thought the narrower tubing does not make pumping stiffer or harder, i could discern no difference when pumping. The modification does exactly what I intended - Air is no longer vented into the reservoir. This means the colossus 2 performs much more consis...

Round 4 Colossus 2 (PC intake mod, Nozzle drill and 30 pumps of pre-charge) Vs Gorgon (30 pumps of pre-charge) This Rematch was fought to test the effectiveness of my PC intake mod described here http://waterwar.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=151&t=6760&p=60672#p60672 . Similar rematches with the modded ...

Re: A Theory: Why The Colossus 2 Under-Performs And How To Fix It
@Maurader - adding a check valve would solve the air release but would stop the Pressure release valve from working - it would be easier just to disable the PRV but this would be risky as there would be no safety system. ultimately adding plain tubing is the cheapest and likely most effective option...

Why The Colossus 2 Under-Performs And How To Fix It
From experience of using the Colossus 2 during JJA Duels and in other tests such as Duelfest it's performance has seemed to be underwhelming, being defeated decisively by blasters it ought to do better against (namely the Gorgon, the original Colossus and Python 2). As such i have done some testing ...

Re: JJA Duels
The Gorgon has a 25ml pump the colossus 2 has a 20ml pump (Isoaker measurements not mine) My Gorgon is stiff to pump in the last 1/3 of the stroke, so rapid shorter strokes is best. I will open it up and reinforce and regrease the pump when i have time hopefully that should help. I bought my Gorgon ...

Re: JJA Duels
@Cochise. I really like shotblasts, I used to use one as my primary (until i was given my CPS 1000). In the battles i fight Shot-blasts are rather effective, even when faced with a colossus 2, although they struggle against anything more potent. The main reason for this is ease of use. They shoot we...

Re: Colossus 2 CPS Conversion
That is some really high quality work and you've documented it well which will help others replicate your work. i am very interested to see how this fires. The constant pressure should help the colossus 2 a lot. i wonder how the C2's Pressure release valve will work with the bladder - will you be ab...

The Actual Battle Report @Seal that picture is very similar to this battle field! for 7 of the 11 players this was their first non-soakfest war. Also the battle started with out much planning for either teams, hence there are some tactical errors and mistakes by both teams. Italics text will be wha...

Re: JJA Duels
Player skill is a factor but i decided that weapons must be swapped during the duel as that mitigates the effect - its a cross over study. My opponents greater strength compensates somewhat for my agility and speed. Another time we shall fight with the same weapon as a control to see how skill affec...

Re: JJA Duels
Each half of the duels are first to 5 hits then switch weapons and repeat. I won with both weapons scoring 5 hits before my opponent. The score breaks down like so: Part 1 Colossus 2 - 5 Shotblast - 1 Part 2 Colossus 4 Shotblast 5 So the final score is 9-6 i think 10-6 is a reasonable estimate but I...

Re: JJA Tactical Scenario #1
Apologies for the confusing scenario. I will try to improve things in subsequent scenarios the area was flat and featureless, all the features (mostly the walls) are mapped here. The grey room was essentially empty and quite small, (the stalls are missing but there were only two and they offered no ...
