Re: 2nd round - Comunity War Name vote

I decided on Aquapocalypse this time around, last time I'm pretty sure I voted Hydropocalypse

XP 250 on its way. Will post things about it when I get it (probably nothing too detailed, I'll just shoot it into my bathtub and stuff).

Re: Latest happenings

I think I've figured out the pinch valve to pull or ball valve conversion I posted earlier. Now I just need parts that are the right size (ie tiny). I remember trying that on my SS 100, but that was in my noob days and I ended up destroying it... It should work well though, you know what you're doi...

Re: Latest happenings

It's easy to lose a sense of judgement when all you see is "CPS BACKFIRE $150 ONLY!!!!" I would pay $20 for those (the 105 mainly), it's the shipping that upsets me. What is it about the 105 that you like so much? I am very opinionated about that gun, so I'm curious as to what you think... Well, my...

$20+shipping for an XP250, I'm tempted to bid, but have no idea what I'd do with it other than be like "don't touch that, it's fragile!"

Re: Buzzbeetoys.com updates for Spring, 2012

I'm impressed! Looks like a very balanced lineup, and I love that they've made the riot blast standard (they still browse these forums, good to know). Of course, it would be nice to see a mega cannon, but this is a nice step forward. Now I really want a Python and Colossus. 40 feet on the viper? Dou...

Re: First Water Guns

An XP 110 almost 10 years ago, that thing is probably still a beast in my armoury.

What got me into water warfare though was a war I had like 12 years ago, using water bottles and squirt pistols, this led to a daily routine of shooting at people on the streets from my balcony :D.

Re: Tactical Scenario I

I've got a highly detailed and intricate plan: You ready? Run to the cliff, climb to the top, split up and guard the two entry points, get in position, hide behind cover, and shoot everything in sight. Done. Initially they'd be split 6 and 6, but those numbers could change depending on where the evi...

Re: Of Old Hit Tests - Test 01

I've played with squirt pistols in my backyard, so those numbers don't really surprise me. Really, i guess this means if you feel water, you've been hit.

Re: Why do people gotta hate :P

A big part of it is probably the marketing, most water guns are marketed to <10 year-olds nowadays, so for anyone older than that to be playing with them does give the typical bully a good bit of material to work with.

As with anything, be proud of who you are and enjoy your hobbies.

Re: Membership Challenges, 2012 - brainstorming

I just remembered that I have spray painted a soaker in the past, so I can't make fun of decorating soakers... :goofy: Anyway, the ideas above seem good, we could have an active year if things come off right. Really I'm leaning more toward the article writing side of things, although I don't have a ...

Re: Community War Name - Vote Here!

I like Soakopalypse, I was thinking of something similar with Hydrocalypse, I think anything in that area sounds good enough.

I'm also trying to think of something natural, like monsoons or hurricanes. Can't quite put my finger on it, but I assure you it might be good.

Is it really a good thing that Aquapocalypse is close to the original word? I can see a lot of trouble stemming from that

Yeah, 30 balloons might be a little much if you're struggling to pump it. It looks like you got a good performance out of it without any k-mod, maybe drop the balloon count a little?
