Re: Frozen Fury 2015 Official Information Thread
Haha, this is going to be great. So I'm definitely coming now, assuming my car makes it. See y'all tomorrow! As for chubby chasers, I feel like cochise is actually one himself... I mean, I'd never even heard of the term before he mentioned it. :p Don't worry SEAL, I'm here for you bro. I know about...

Re: Frozen Fury 2015 Official Information Thread
Looks like I'm going to have to come now, haha. Just let me stock up on popcorn. So it looks like I can leave here way the eff early on Saturday for the fighting then and stay overnight. On Sunday my family is having their big dinner thing so I'd probably leave early for that. I can still probably ...

Re: Frozen Fury 2015 Official Information Thread
duxburian and m4 (marauder?) don't look that thick, so I'm guessing scott's not a chubby chaser. BBW you're loosing allies by the minute! Duel with nerf blasters at a water war? You're that guy who goes to a nice Italian restaurant and orders the chicken fingers with fries aren't you? Or maybe a cor...

Re: Frozen Fury 2015 Official Information Thread
I like the idea of continuous fighting. I will be fighting with medium or light weaponry unless I can borrow something. Ii don't like the idea of playing without some kind of hits or score based round(s)... My friends and I have been trying to do more elimination style rounds. I'm still not that qui...

BUMP
We need a planned game list so I can start figuring out my weaponry layout and whether or not to buy some guns off ebay... would also help to convince friends to come.
Also got pics of the place?

Re: Riverwood, Clayton, NC
That is a very unique setup where each team can see each other when they start, but can't easily reach one another. I don't believe I've ever thought of that before. Though in this case if I were to capture the flag I'd just dash through the water and throw it up to one of my teammates on D. It's a...

Re: Frozen Fury 2015 Planning Thread
That sounds really cool... I think small pine trees are better than the big ones because they are thicker and better for hiding and ambushing. With the location of the water it may make refilling a tactical decision. I would really like to play longer more team centric rounds than short rounds where...

Re: Riverwood, Clayton, NC
The idea of having bases on opposite sides of Mark's Creek is really interesting. I like that you could see the offense while you're on defense yet feel miles away. The second video looks a lot thicker than the first. The green hell would be really good for outposts... As for night wars, would you u...

Re: "Guns on the Peninsula," Tactical Scenario
How do you feel about games where you have to make choices on weaponry? Do you think they add to or take away from how exciting things are? I feel like this takes away from player choice, whichi s a bad thing... but on the flip side lacking control can add a certain element of desperation to a stru...

1: Old streambed being used as path (3:18 & 12:48 in view from ridge overlooking it) potential base? 2: Deer meadow, potential base (& 12:00) 3: Land's end (the peninsula) possible base (8:15 and view of at 22:45) 4: Neuse River Ridgeline and end of public domain (10:20) 5: Old wagon road (min:sec)...

Re: Frozen Fury 2015
There's several problems that most of these places share - typical New England/Northeastern deciduous upland forest, and huge sprawl without containment. Upland forest usually has many trees with little underbrush, has large, steep, rocky hills, and long sightlines. There is tons of cover, but ofte...

Re: If You Built a Fort
My favorite type of fort requires minimal construction, instead relying on natural features for protection. #1 by far is a small island or peninsula connected to the mainland by bridges or narrow paths. Your infinite water source also acts as your defense when you have an island. The Paine island w...

Get a video up! Also, you need a name for this beast. PPB is pretty rare as far as I can tell. I never see them on ebay, never seen them IRL either.

Re: "Guns on the Peninsula," Tactical Scenario
Armament is a quick decision for me, and is the same strategy I made at Pandemonium: Give the best players first pick of their favorites. This will put the CPS 2000 to Rob and one of the 1000's to Brandon. This time I'm picking Keith for the second 1000 (lol, sorry Scott), leaving me and the two ne...
