A New Twist on CTF - Introducing CTB

Everybody knows CTF. Capture the enemy flag(s) to win the game. But capturing flags is so old-school. In the spirit of college season starting up, I present to you... Capture The Beer! Number of players: No less than 4v4, but higher numbers such as 6v6 are preferred. Field: The battlefield should be...

I don't know what's worse, the soaker's performance, or their rapping skills. XD

Re: HOG

There's a lot to be addressed. First of all, I do feel bad about those who really wanted to come, but as I've said this war wouldn't be what it was meant to be with only a small handful of members. Neither Keith nor myself are interested in hosting a scaled-down version of this event either. I don't...

Re: HOG

I assume the postponement is because of reasons other than just me not wanting to make a Facebook to contact David, right? Because if that's the problem I'll gladly take one for the team and do that. Haha, no of course not. I won't post huge chunks of text explaining all of our reasoning behind mak...

Re: HOG

So I just had a discussion with my brother last night and unfortunately we will be suspending this event until further notice. As it currently stands, the community is not ready for an event of this magnitude. Until we have higher levels of interest, this project will be put on hold. If anyone wishe...

Re: HOG

Yeah Scott, I usually just reach out to David on Facebook. Making an account is easy; you can literally just use it to keep in touch with your friends. That's what I do. I'll post the odd picture or joke now and then, but I stay away from all the drama and political bullcrap. You don't have to give ...

Re: Soakemore 2018 planning thread

I don't know how many people can attend my war on each date; I only asked for the 21st. I did make a Doodle calendar, but nobody used it other than Drenchenator who didn't mark any of the dates. I already took days off for the 21st, and that's the date I gave all the guests. I really don't want to m...

Re: HOG

The shuttling is more or less so that the battlefield location stays secret. The whole point of this war is to experience going into a battlefield blind with no idea of what to expect. We think this will make for a more intense and exciting experience, and others are welcome to host the same kind of...

Re: HOG

I don't know yet. Multi-day events are fairly expensive and my event fund is literally empty. I was planning on taking all of July off in order to fill it up for August stuff. That combined with the terrible heat and my lack of ability to drive very far in it has really killed my enthusiasm for doi...

Re: HOG

The new date is now officially July 21st. I would like everyone to please confirm their attendance before the end of this week, either by posting here or contacting me directly. This year may be the last chance we'll get to hold this event, so let's make it happen. All we need are five of you and a...

Re: Duelfest 2018

Well most of the recent battles have been more hardcore/competitive, and we haven't bothered with changing up classes. If I remember right, the last time we had a large war in a more "traditional" format (i.e. multiple short rounds per day) was Soakemore '16; over two years ago. Definitely not compl...

Re: Duelfest 2018

We haven't used blaster classes in quite some time, but then again we haven't had nearly as many big wars recently either. I for one would like to see battles played with different classes again (or some kind of mechanic where certain players can only use certain classes), but that's probably best s...

Re: Duelfest 2018

marauder: I just checked the old Duelfest thread and you didn't do 275 vs. 150, but you did do 250 vs. 150, and the 150 lost 4 to 11. Then the 275 narrowly beat the 250 4 to 3, and in turn was beaten by the Gorgon 3 to 1. Since the Gorgon is basically on par with the best medium guns, I'd suggest mo...

Re: Duelfest 2018

Oooh, nice! I was going to do 300 vs. 2000 and one point but my 300 isn't in the best shape (leaks) and then my 2000 started pump shooting. Back then I would've predicted the 2000 to win, but today those results aren't particularly surprising, especially after the season opener where my team had too...

Re: Flash Flood?

Definitely not a Flash Flood. Just look at it side-by-side with a real one. It's a copycat, although I do think it's cool that it's one of the only stock guns that you wouldn't have to paint, haha. Well maybe the orange parts.

So in light of a large chunk of people dropping out, we're moving this thing to next month. How does July 7th sound? We absolutely want to have it this year, but we need help from you all too. If you know you can't make a date that I throw out, please say so. The end result will absolutely be worth ...

Re: Duelfest 2018

Hmm, very interesting. What are the stats for the Storm 2500? isoaker doesn't have them. Not sure if the 150 is the "greatest" light primary ever, but it is favored by a lot of people. Also you can't call the 750 the greatest pistol of all time until you match it up with an MD 4000, Liquidator, Trip...

Hey guys, checking in again. The thread says that the event begins on the 22nd through 23rd. Just to clarify, we drive in on the 22nd, but all of the fighting is on the 23rd? Everything looks great, but I was wondering if we could increase attendance just a little. Do you have confirmations from DX...

Favorite Type of Fighting?

What's your favorite way to do battle? Here's mine: Field: I like my fields on the larger side, but not so large that you can't find anyone. Proper scaling for the number of players is key. They must have ample cover and concealment, and you should never be able to see your opponent at the start of ...
