Unless it has been left pressurized for a long time or has endured a lot of abuse, it should last a long time. Just make sure you get to test it out before you trade, to see how the power and ranges are. I think that the CPS chamber is the least of your worries unless it has been beaten todeath. ~SO

Well, I just thought I'd let everyone know that figured out what the problem was. Apparently, after you attach the pak to the cap, you need to unscrew the cap about a 1/4 turn (I think, it might have been 1/2) to let air in. I guess that is why it pays to read the directions on the package. D'oh! ~...

I agree, soaking is only half the battle...or something like that. Storage info would help me, cause I just leave my soakers on my bedroom floor, and I'm rather afraid I'm going to step on one.
