When one of your advisors at school tells you to send her pictures of your CPH so she can help get you internships?

Re: your fighting style

I actually haven't tried Timmy in a proper battle. I imagine he'd work well without being the perfect fit, he's easy to maneuver with, doesn't take many pumps (like 10), has great range and high field life. Only real drawback is the lever trigger which slows me down marginally. I know the bigger Wat...

Re: your fighting style

Yaay I inspired a topic! Like I said in my battle report, I tend to prefer engaging at distance for a while, then charging in and going for the kill. Mobility is more important than anything else to me because I get into so many "dangerous" positions close to my opponents, I need to be able to move ...

Re: Birthday Battle -> The Story

Variety also makes for more memorable moments. In one Vermin War this guy showed up for the other team with a 12k, wearing a Ninja headband and 2 SS 50s tucked into his belt. We were all like who the #*(#@ is this guy? and we taunted him. During the war, my squad was fighting up on a hill, when the...

Re: Birthday Battle -> The Story

Pictures, I knew we forgot something! You had quite the diverse array of weapons. I don't know if there's ever been a 250 vs Orca or SS 50 vs CPH battle, at least not documented. Isn't life so much more interesting when the team arsenals don't just look like "CPS2K x 5" on either side? Ignorin...

Birthday Battle -> The Story

Note: No real battle stories or complex tactics here, this was a party with my less-hardcore-than-myself friends. What follows is the journey to a few hours of team OHKs. In the month leading up to my birthday (yesterday), my friends and I kept throwing ideas around as to what we can do. The ideas r...

Re: Hydrocannon

So far, it's held up well in testing, main area I'm worried about is the connection between the clear tubing and the top half of the gun. You can kinda see in the picture how little room I had to clamp the tubing on, so I gave it a bit of glue just to be safe. As for the tubing, really it was just t...

Re: Hydrocannon

Totally forgot to update, I've taken a week off this project, but I want it to be done within the next few days, so here I am! The internals are basically done, I've tested it and it works nicely (will be better after some nozzle work, for now I've just ripped out the screen at the tip of the nozzle...

He was the original voice of Bugs Bunny, right?

Really, I'm just sacrificing reservoir capacity for PC capacity, that's all there is to my plan.

Wal Mart should have them, the most expensive Gremlins (or their equivalent, they're all the same, just different names and colours) I've seen here were for $5, I got mine on clearance for $2. Just poke around Wal Mart/any big department store and you should find something.

Re: Gorgon K-mod questions

If you want to try what I did, make sure you build it in a way that allows you to take it apart, that's the best advice I can give. If you're putting the balloons on a hose barb, don't glue the hose barb on. Get a threaded one, screw it onto other bits of PVC (and those would be glued), just so you ...

Re: Advice on painting

Probably acrylic, and seal it with a matte varnish/sealant of any kind (even a thin layer of white glue can do a fantastic job sealing your paint).

Having said that, I paint miniatures, not water blasters.

Re: Hydrocannon

Update: Work on the pump will be delayed for a while, so I've shifted my focus to the PC. I've decided to risk trying an all-balloon PC again (having done so on my WW Lightning already, so far unsuccessfully). My reasoning is that repairs wouldn't be as difficult with the HC as they are with the Lig...

Re: Hands-On: Super Soaker 250

:o

I just tested a bunch of my soakers, one after the other. This includes Timmy, a 12k, 2700, Gorgon, and Tapey (my CPH, albeit not necessarily on her optimal nozzle). Timmy shot the furthest.

That'll be all.
