Re: CPS 1200 pump not working, does not pump water
This is a hard one. No obvious issues from the photos. My guess is that what broke is inside the valves and not visible. Most likely the first check valve broke or is clogged. Look down the open end that leads to the first check valve. (Front-most green part in the second photo.) Can you see anythin...

Really glad to hear this is a good clone. Where did you buy the Water Gun 9000? I couldn't find any on eBay.
The flimsiness might be okay if we can reinforce the blaster. I'd recommend putting a dowel rod inside of the pump rod, possibly epoxying it in place for extra strength.

Re: CPS 1200 pump not working, does not pump water
More information is needed in order to figure out what broke. Can you upload a photo of the internals of the water gun? A close up shot of the valves the pump is attached to would be most useful, but others could be helpful too. Which tube are you referring to when you say "no water is being pumped ...

Re: YouTube homemade water guns
https://youtu.be/u5wfqGp2Q-E This one looks like it would be fun if it was scaled up. Nice find. I'd be wary of using that in an actual water war due to the exposed batteries, but the power is better than I expected. Scaled up and with the batteries in a sealed compartment that could be a very nice...

I noticed that the Alibaba link says "WELCOME TO ASK FOR TESTING SAMPLE". Maybe someone should ask for a sample of BN0208921 or BN0208922? I don't have the time right now.

Re: CPS 2500 nozzle selector broke on my first time using it.. Any idea on how to repair it?
It seems a little extreme to "swap out" the front part. That's the entire firing chamber, you can detach the rubber pressure chamber fairly easily but removing the intake tube has a high chance to crack in my experience, and at that point you might as well swap out the pump assembly as well. As far...

Re: Water Warriors Garganuta X
iSoaker has written the following on BBT in the past : However, in late-2010, Buzz Bee Toys Inc. was served an injunction barring it from producing any more rubber-bladder-based water blasters until the CPS-patent expires. Thus, unless Buzz Bee Toys Inc. opts to create more spring-based water blast...

That video is one of the most reassuring things I've seen since Spyra formed.
I'm not convinced of the durability or quality of the Chinese water guns, but that first one seems to be a quite reasonable CPS 1000 variant. I'd like to buy one myself. Keep us informed!

From what I understand, the ones with the slanted triggers tend to be bad knockoffs. But do report what you find out.

Looks good. Thanks for the photos. I'll likely refer others to your comments in the future when they ask about similar nozzle modifications!

Re: 13M CPS Chinese knock off blaster What?!!(Super Shooter CPS 5000)
Welcome to WaterWar.net! If the range is accurate then these could be quite good. There have been some good CPS 1000 knockoffs: http://aquanexus0.tripod.com/nexusgal/sshooter.htm The "HH Dream" one that does not have a threaded cap is a known bad knockoff. Several of the other blasters seem to be hy...

Re: Spyra One
I have my Spyra One but have no had time to do any detailed tests yet. I can say that I'm impressed by the build quality and expect this blaster to last a lot longer than the CPS series.
I'll see about doing some tests on a weekday afternoon this week. Other priorities take precedence today.

Re: Modding a water gun to have a smaller nozzle
Nice work! I'd be interested in seeing some photos of the finished product. I don't think most water guns built today are designed to last very long. The 1990s ones are probably mostly at the end of their life now. The new Spyra water gun, on the other hand, has a very "solid" feeling to it that mak...

Re: Modding a water gun to have a smaller nozzle
Good idea. You might be able to attach a small threaded fitting without too much difficulty. I would try solvent welding on the flat side of a small threaded PVC plug like McMaster-Carr part number 4880K184. Drill a hole larger than the nozzle in the center of the plug. You might have to sand off an...

Re: Modding a water gun to have a smaller nozzle
The easiest way to reduce the nozzle size would be to basically fill it in with epoxy or epoxy putty, and then drill it out to the size you want. It might be possible to remove the nozzle component from the Hydra. If so, I'd recommend doing that as it would make drilling the new hole cleanly and str...

I'd recommend contacting Buzz Bee Toys about where to buy:
https://buzzbeetoys.com/contact-us/
I don't know why they don't do online direct sales to customers.

Welcome to WWN! I think the Water Warriors brand would be a better fit for you than Super Soaker. While I haven't handled it personally, the Water Warriors Outlaw might be your best option: https://buzzbeetoys.com/products/water-warriors-water-blasters/outlaw/ http://www.isoaker.com/Armoury/Analysis...

Re: Water Warriors Power Raider sold under their own branding in UK.
I found the following interesting: For the past two years, Walmart has moved away from brand-named water blasters, instead opting for their private label in part, to avoid consumers from being able to do cross-store price comparisons. I've read that Best Buy has similar tricks to avoid price matchin...

Re: Watergun with an integrated water balloon launcher
Great work. I've been planning a blaster with an air source, and I had wondered what to do with the air when the water runs out. A water balloon launcher would be reasonable there. Nice to hear that you've found the combination to be effective. Also, a 1.05 L accumulator tank blaster outranges a CPS...
