Another alternative repair (if you're opening the valve casing) would be to replace the sping on the inside. Taking the spring off should be relatively easy if it's like my CPS 2700. Just find the end and spin it until it's removed. Replacement of the spring should be relatively easy if your local ...

Common problem gets a common repair: My XP 150 has the same exact problem. The spring that closes the valve shut doesn't close it all the way (likely from age), and pressure will close it. That explains why it leaks out when it's near empty. Solution: Add a rubber band or spring to close up that va...

Not really. If someone points out an error in my posts (and they're quite common actually), I'd be more than happy to fix them. Why? Because I'm only asking people to make more of an attempt at spelling and using grammar correctly. That and everyone makes little mistakes. They happen.

That's an improvement? ??? No offense to anyone at NH, but most people there are just plain annoying. 3/4 of them are little kids trying to act cool, and the remaining 1/4 actually know what they are talking about. I'm not sure when poor writing skills became an acceptable standard there (since you...

^ Yeah right. My homemades got like 130 at most (not that that was their "full potential"). My Max Shot is gets about 105 - 120 flat each time and I've modded it well beyond what most are. Then again, at 23 pumps, the Titan's average 180 feet is the most ideal we've seen. (my point is, guns easily ...

I opened that a few days ago, searched it for "Soaker", noted that it came up with nothing and closed the window. It's possible that they want to make more announcements on the Super Soaker line until they've got that website ready. :;):

I once made a thread very much like this at SSCentral, with a link that filtered out most things that were not related to water guns from an eBay search. However, after a few weeks, for reasons unknown to myself, the link stopped working. I think eBay tries to catch onto this type of thing to preve...

You have to build? Sounds like all they did was tie off an end and hold the other end shut! That I do suppose is a water gun though, you have your pressure source and valve. This reminds me of some USENET postings I once read from 1990 (of course, just recently read), describing a similar CPS devic...

Somewhat sloppy organization, but it serves for my purposes. I should get pictures up of my Linux PC where I have done most of my SSCentral work on, but I'm not there right now.

http://web.archive.org/web....ttp Very old version of the K-modding article on Feb. 11, 2004. That's likely before you visted SSCentral. Quoted below: 12 inch balloons are what I used. As far as I am aware, that is a statement about balloon size. Of course, I didn't say that you had to use 12" ball...

http://www.sscentral.net/tech/repairs/trigger.php Pictoral guide similar to what Adrian described. This repair hasn't broken after a year of use. However, I do highly suggest repairing triggers of water guns that are known to break triggers (such as the CPS 4100) before the break. If you've got any...

Well RAK, I'd love to see how successful you are in your campaign for a larger backpack. Go on ahead, call up Hasbro and start your national campaign! I'll just go down to Home Depot, buy some ABS pipe, fittings, cement and a few tubing clamps and call it a day. Oh wait, I can't do that. That's the...

^ might just be me, but i think stock soakers should be good enough where a mod isnt required to make it almost-not-sub-par. but of course, i think some of us should test it out before seeing that it's only yay big and giving up on it. Precisely my thinking. Water guns should be good enough so that...

Don't know why this is anything new... that link has been on for nearly a week. :goofy: Well anyway, I am completely sure you can do some sort of reservoir expansion mod if you are unsatisfied with the backpack size. They've already got the tubing and everything made for you, if you were that set y...

Yes, I noticed that as well. This Artic Shock also appears to have two reservoirs. I suppose one is for ice and the other is for water? That would make sense as this is the one that supposedly freezes your competition.

Very promising review. To supplement my 2005 Preview page, would you mind if I used a few of your pictures and a few quotes from your review? Of course, credit will be given where credit is due. If you could, find out the size of PC in ml. 40 ounces isn't too much for a reservoir. I suppose the PC ...

I heard a very long time ago on the SSC Forums that there was a special nozzle design that created near-perfect laminar flow. I don't remember the details if they were there, but if there was to be a specialized sniper-type design, I wouldn't mind seeing some modified version of this (getting hit b...
