With the amount of power necessary to fire an extremely long distance with a piston soaker such as the Californian Water Cannon, I've wondered whether a mechanical force could be used to force the tube up with that much power. A normal plastic piston might not hold up that kind of force so maybe on...

What is this "S.O.A.K.E.R.S." Movie I keep hearing about? Although it dosen't have to do with the topic, I'll explain anyway. S.O.A.K.E.R.S. is a straight to DVD/VHS movie created by a company that makes movies for toy companies. Hasbro gave out rumors of this movie starting last year and it seems ...

The soaker i was originally posting about was some kind of old super soaker. But yes, i have also seen the california water cannon, and i also know someone who used to have water fights with someone who brought one back from america, but this one had a reservoir. It fired about 70feet. Is there any...

Tropical Weather Update (8 PM EST): Ivan the Terrible is battered the Cayman Islands today but luckly to those residents they were spared the brunt of the storm. Even if they did experience a direct hit they would have some safety because most of the houses in that region have walls of concrete. Iv...

Being curious, was there ever another recall on a Super Soaker product? Although it was once thought by many (including me) as a true safety issue, the CPS 2000 story was simply an urban legend, rather than an actual legal case. My knowledge of soakers dosen't seem to go far enough for me to know a...

There are various tubular piston soakers, the largest and most powerful probably being the Californian Water Cannon. The next largest is probably the 36" Stream Machine, which is 36" without the water. After you pull the inner tube back when taking in water, the length is around double that, which ...

The Full Update: Now that the 8 PM NHC Update is in my full update can proceed. Ivan has slightly intensified over the last few hours, staying around 165 mph max sustained winds but with a minimal central pressure of 912 mb, the 6th lowest pressure for a hurricane ever in the Atlantic Basin. Ivan i...

Quick Update, Full Update after 8 PM: Hurricane Ivan has rapidly reintensified into a Category 5 storm with 165 mph wind and 914 mb minimum pressure. Earlier today it had fluctuated down to 145 mph but within the last few hours the center of Ivan has become much better organized. As of now, the for...

There is a very hard plastic portion to the rocket. Nobody is getting hurt by the inflatable or foam portions. Now I see where the injuries come from. I think that Hasbro should modify the Monster Rocket to be completely made out of foam/inflatable parts or at least with all the hard parts covered ...

A most impressive collection. You should consider submitting your record to the Guiness Book of World Records and see if its representatives think highly enough of it because we common folk sure do. By the way, is the Jurassic Park backpack soaker from Jurassia Park 1 or Jurassic Park 2: The Lost W...

I've got that comic in the comics page of my newspaper. It's going into my ongoing comics page collection, which was started in March of 2002. Humorous but I'd like to see some soaker like the squirt guns in the Foxtrot comics.

I was watching the 24 local news channel at 8:41 and on the current newsbar at the bottom of the screen their was a headline about 230,000 Super Soakers beign recalled. The replacement for the CPS 2500 in 2000 was the CPS 2700 in my opinion. The MX was more of a variation of the heavy CPS category (2500) rather than a direct slot filler. The CPS 1700, which was the slot filler in 2001-2002, was directly replaced by the 4100 as the medium CPS soaker in the lineup.

As almost all of the members suddenly become much more busy due to school, the visit frequency of Big Bee will reflect the autumn slowdown of this community. Then again, Big Bee might surprise us with a visit in the near future (within the next week or so).

I voted for the CPS 1500/1700-Monster (2001)/CPS 4100 link because they have they most similar CPS level nozzles. The 10X of the 1500 compares to the 8.5X of the Monster and both fo them have medium nozzles around 10X. The CPX 2500-MX, while close, isn't close enough because the 20X of the 2500 is ...

I wonder when the site will be updated with the 2005 lineup of Water Warriors soakers. It's probably one thing to tell us about the new soakers but another thing to publicly show the images online. Therefore, it might be a while before the site is updated.
