Re: Just when I thought I'd seen it all. Toilet Paper Blasters.
The first thing I thought of was that prank where you take a toilet paper roll and attach it to a blow dryer, hahaha. But this is more like a spitball launcher. I wonder if these will sell well or not. It certainly seems like something that kids would like, if they're anything like I was when I was ...

Wait, this is pressurized? To me it looked like the trigger was fake.

Re: What Gimmicks Did You Actually Like?
Hey, welcome back cantab! It's been a long time. I remember you giving me advice on building my first homemade like ten years ago. As far as gimmicks go, I agree that the FF/AB were fun as hell. They could be pretty decent in close-quarters too. I always thought the "shower" nozzle setting on the Mo...

Re: What are We Actually Trying to Do?
This is actually a very neat question. What are we trying to do? Well that depends. Everyone joins the community for a different reason. SSCBen pretty much hit the nail on the head when it comes to the three main "branches" of the hobby. I definitely lean the most towards the "warfare" part of water...

Re: 15 Years Later? WW Lightning Mod
Kind of a late reply, but welcome back! For a lot of us, though we may go through periods of dormancy, this hobby tends to stick with us.
That's some pretty crazy modding too. I used to do stuff like that on occasion. Let us know how it works out. I'm curious about the handling.

Re: 2020 Nerf Super Soakers - Return to Form?
Hmm, well to me it looks more like the SS 20, at least the MK2. But they're both pretty similar. I wonder which would perform better. Pressurized guns don't seem to work very well on a small scale.

Re: 2020 Nerf Super Soakers - Return to Form?
A picture of the "XP 20" has been revealed. Obviously having more in common with the SS 20 rather than the original XP 20, this one has been more "Hasbro-ified," and doesn't look to be pressurized. Definitely not as interesting as the bigger ones, but still worth posting about. I still think this y...

Re: Advice on organizing local wars
Wow, looks like Nerf Haven also took a nosedive in activity. Although in that case it's probably just because nobody likes to post on forums much anymore. It sucks because the quality of conversation is always so much better than on Facebook or Discord or whatever. Agreed that nerfers are better at ...

Most Powerful Water Stream?
A long time ago I posted an image of an open dam drain valve, which is essentially a pressurized water blaster of enormous proportions. But now there's a video on Youtube! It's not the same dam; this one only has one outlet instead of two or three. But it's still cool to watch: https://www.youtube.c...

Oooh, you'll definitely have to give us a full review. I've been very curious about this whole project, and I'm glad to see that it's still going strong.

Re: Super Soaker XP100 Review
That's a really good review. Did you measure any stats? I'm interested to see how it compares to the original SS 100. According to old reviews, the O.G. shot around 36-37 feet (or ~11 meters if you prefer) with 1-2X output. By the sounds of it this new one might not quite match it, although it certa...

2020 Nerf Super Soakers - Return to Form?
After seeing the thread about the new BBT/Walmart guns, I decided to do some snooping to see if Hasbro revealed anything yet. Nothing on their website, but it seems isoaker is still alive and well, and has posted this on his website. Talk about a throwback! First time in like a decade that I've gott...

Re: 2020 Walmart Adventure Force Water Strike Soakers
BBT really likes their Steady Stream technology, don't they?
The Drench Force and its derivatives do still interest me. Piston guns suck, but you can't really argue with 50 feet. I wonder how one would fare in combat against CPS.

Re: Time-to-target
I think stream velocity is a better stat, since that's what affects how fast your shot gets to its target, and is independent of how far away your target is. I know DX had a chronograph at one point, but if I remember right it wasn't extremely precise. I suppose you could derive an average velocity ...

Re: MOAB 2019
Well if you wanted to pique my interest, that's one way to do it, haha. You know me, I love strategic battles. Throw in hardcore play styles and team imbalances, and you have my SEAL of approval (ha ha, bad joke). Chief is coming for sure? How is he getting down? I messaged him the other day but hav...

Re: Gun Storage
What guns do you have these days? I recently got the last of my blasters down from NY, so I have basically my entire arsenal aside from the guns that belonged to my brother. As far as which ones still work though, I'm not entirely sure. However the plan was to eventually phase them out and replace ...

Gun Storage
Hey all, so I wanted to talk a little bit about solutions for storing water guns. My current issue is that I live in a house with no basement and very little in terms of storage space. Right now I've got a pile of guns in a corner in my bedroom, and three large cardboard boxes filled with them scatt...

Re: MOAB 2019
That probably would actually be the best date for me 'cause I get Monday off, but I still don't know if I can or not. I'll keep you updated. Doing this in the same fashion as the "HOG Lite" idea I talked about in the other thread would be cool. Got any cool battlefields around that nobody else has b...

Re: New Idea for Intense Gameplay
Yeah, this wasn't really meant to be taken seriously, as the date implies. It did stem from a serious idea I had a while back though. Like marauder, I do kinda like the idea, but then I realized that it would result in the same kind of gameplay as we got when we tracked stats, only ten times worse. ...

New Idea for Intense Gameplay
Hey all, so I've been doing some thinking. I've come to the conclusion that water wars just aren't intense enough anymore. We just show up, go into the woods, and start shooting at each other. There's nothing at stake, which makes it kind of hard to get into. So what's the solution to this? I'm glad...
