Re: CPH help please

If the o-ring won't go on despite your best efforts, it's probably too big. You can stretch a small o-ring to bigger size, it's a lot tougher to shrink an o-ring though. Also, CA_99 has a problem with wooden dowel+o ring pumps, but I'll let him cover that. As for leaky reservoir, just wrap some elec...

Re: CPH help please

It doesn't need to, as long as the o-ring(s) does/do.

Re: Secondaries, what's the point?

That commercial is like 5 years old, why is it a meme now? Anyway, I've only ever had tiny (4-5 person) OHK games and soakfests that involved a ready hose, so I never really needed a secondary, but I'm still not a huge fan. I like to be able to move freely, and backpacks/secondaries slung over my sh...

Re: Hands-On: Super Soaker 250

Range tested out my window today, and only tried two nozzles before I accidentally shot into my neighbour's window and had to disappear (how was I supposed to know it was set to fan blast...) Anyway, range on the 3x looks good, I eyeballed it as anywhere from 37'-43' (arbitrary numbers really, but i...

Re: Use of vehicles in water warfare

But in actual battles, I think it's pretty much cheating if you can't shoot the people in the vehicle. It's also dangerous if you are driving a big vehicle. If the vehicle is open like a four wheeler or go cart, andyou can shoot into it, I think that's fine. My problem with that, how easy is it to ...

Re: Hands-On: Super Soaker 250

Even just considering the size of the PCs, you can tell there's a clear difference in power, each one is just a bit bigger than the SS 100's PC and there are two of them.

Re: Hands-On: Super Soaker 250

Okay, I've tested mine (I call him Timmy), though didn't do any range testing (shot it indoors). I'll open with a complaint, the balance on Timmy is pretty bad, he gets back-heavy when fully loaded, the strap sort of makes up for it I guess. Pumping takes no time at all, I think it takes me like 10 ...

Re: What Makes a Good Armoury?

Not sure what I need, probably something similar to your format M4, except that I'd mix heavy and medium weapons (I use either in serious games) as well as backyard fun and pistols. However, I'll use your exact list for my armoury for convenience: Current (Not Broken): Pistols: XP215, STE Triple Sho...

Re: CPH help please

Hose clamp isn't flimsy at all, it's what holds the LRT onto the rest of the CPH.
There's what atvan suggested, I use a hose barb/endcap and put a hose clamp on that, as long as you find something that seals it well.

Re: CPH help please

Yup, you can find them in a variety of shapes and sizes at basically any hardware store. They just require a quick sealing of the hole at the other end. Again, I have no clue what kind of performance it'll yield, but believe me, only use balloons as a last resort.

Re: CPH help please

I've tried both, LRT is so much easier to work with. It is harder to get a hold of and balloons aren't too challenging, they just take a lot more time (and maintenance). Now, I've never used this stuff, but you can find it at any hardware store, it's a balloon that unclogs drains through water press...

Re: 2nd round - Comunity War Name vote

My problem with the name Downpour is that I just don't find it interesting enough, it doesn't capture my attention the same way as the others do. The "pocalypses" run the risk of being too flashy, but I'd still prefer either of them over Downpour (no offence to whoever suggested it, I do sound like ...

Re: Hands-On: Water Warriors Python @ iSoaker.com

Looks pretty good! What's the power on it like? Does water ease itself out of the nozzle or is there more of an explosive eagerness about it?

Also, atvan, a lot of the Water Warriors sidearms can hit 40', I expect this to be no exception.
