Re: Opening super soaker CPS 1700
ok. Do you think is it would be possible to dremel away a new seam that goes across the cap connecting the top gun seam to the bottom gun seam? In other words continuing the seam so that it makes a full circle around the gun? This would allow you to open it so that half of the nozzle cap is on eithe...

Re: Opening super soaker CPS 1700
ok thanks for all your help I think I get it now. So I just make a bunch of those cuts around the nozzle cap? Also would a dremel work better or should I stick with a hacksaw?

Re: Opening super soaker CPS 1700
sorry i'm really having trouble following this. So I cut a whole bunch of circles all the way down to the blue plastic around the outside of the nozzle cap? By outside I mean the area that's glued. once I have done this it should be weak enough to be pried off, right? Sorry this is just a little con...

Re: Opening super soaker CPS 1700
So you mean to cut it all the way across the front of the cap? So that's as if the seam in the gun goes all the way around the nozzle cap? This way you'll be able to open the gun with half of the nozzle cap on each side, right? Tell me if I misinturpritated it. Thanks!

Re: Opening super soaker CPS 1700
Yeah I know. I think if you remove the nozzle cap but not the selector underneath it it will still operate. If it does die I could always make a frankenstein out of it as you said. Do you guys know of any one else who has opened this gun? Thanks!

Re: Opening super soaker CPS 1700
@marauder_4: The plastic cone you mention is the entire nozzle cap, correct? Also, there is some white substance that appears to have smeared out of the crack between gun and nozzle cap. I am pretty sure the cap is glued. Could you please explain how you hacksawed it? @atvan: I have triple checked f...

Re: Opening super soaker CPS 1700
Here are some pictures of things that may help to open: This shows a little hole that is not there for damage related issues in the space between gun and nozzle cap. This may come in handy for prying. IMG_0297.jpg In the area where light is reflected off the nozzle cap there is a little seam. IMG_02...

Opening super soaker CPS 1700
I've seen lots of prior posts on this but none of them describe the nozzle cap very well. When they do it's a vague answer by someone who hasn't posted in years. I would PM them but there is no way they would answer. I know how to do everything but the nozzle cap. I'm hoping someone knows from exper...

Re: Hands-On: Water Warriors Power Shots
Mines actually really good! I got mine for 79 cents. The equalizer trigger does make a difference. I experienced no leaking. It probably has the best power oiI have ever seen for a squirt pistol!

Re: Super soaker cps 1700 strategy
Thanks to all for the tips. This is going to sound stupid but how does the nozzle selector on the 1700/1500 work? I've seen a picture of the front and only saw one nozzle. Thanks!

Re: resivour/firing chamber question
I think the only thing that could be bad would be if you leave it pressurized for a very long time. Other than that I think its good.

Though different guns vary, I think it hits like 3 feet less than the 2500. Thanks for the input!

Super soaker cps 1700 strategy
I'm looking for advice on how to use my 1700. Basically the same as what obese panda asked. When he got such good answers I figured why not give it a try? Thanks in advance!

Re: Super Soaker CPS 2500 strategy
Well I would recommend staying away from the middle of the battle and snipe. You don't have to lay down and all that junk, but just stay on the outside to make up for the pump time/shot time ratio. I would stay on 20x until you start running low on water then drop to 10x, then 5x.

Super Soaker CPS Patent
Tell me if this in the wrong category I wasn't sure.
When does the cps patent expire? I want bbt to be able to make the vindicator and such. Also can super soaker/hasbro renew the patent? I sure hope not!
